My why... Just wanted to feel and look better. Also, I wanted to get back inshape. I wanted to beable to run again and exercise without feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack. I saw my picture in that paper and a video of me on TV, that really kicked me in the *kitten*. I saw how I looked to everybody else, and…

Just keep pushing and don't let a bad day or days get you down. We can all do it!!! Meakin11, I'd of killed a few of those deep fried twinkies...

Sorry to hear that you had to stop running and walking, but that's probably the best thing. Hopefully there's no damage.. Keep us updated and best of luck..

I'm from the great Southern City of Charleston, South Carolina. I'd be more then happy to lend you support when you need it. Us southerners must stick together..lol. The one thing I was not going to give up, when I decided to start getting healthy, was good ol' southern sweet tea. Can't do it. But I do make my tea a lot…

Since changing my habits, I haven't had my allergies act. Only had a couple of hours bat one time. I haven't even had to take any allergy medicine...

I dont really have anything I keep to motivate me... It's more of an Idea... I've got goals I want to do again, like running in a 2k race and then running in a 10k. I just want to be healthy and look good.... The only other thing that motivates me is everyone of my friends(all 479 on facebook) know that I'm getting back in…

Depends on what your looking for. Insanity is more cardio based, which I'm doing now. And I love it. Haven't done P90, but it uses more weights. Both are intense from my understanding. I plan on doing P90 too. But most likely after another round of insanity.

Is there any swelling? Earlier this year I iritated my MCL and had a similar pain to what you are describing. If there's swelling you need to stop running. I would recommend icing it after every workout(swelling or not) and at least one other time a day. Ice it for no longer then 20 minutes at a time. Also do muscle…

What I've read said that workout in the morning before breakfast actually makes your body use fat for energy because most of your carbs have been used while you sleep... Don't know if it's true, but it seems to be working for me.

Great Job!!! Doing Insanity now, Hope I have the same results!!!

I love ice tea... I still make mine sweetened, but I've cut the sugar so low that most people think it's unsweetened. Over about 2 months I gradually stepped down the sugar so I got used to it.

Anytime I'm eating pasta, I use Classico Basil Pesto Sauce... I love it. Not sure how healthy it is, but it taste good.

I workout by myself as well. I actually prefer it. The commitment to go on this journey of weight loss was for me and to me. I believe we all need support, but this is an individual goal and accomplishment. Like everyone else, I have moments when I wonder if this is worth it. But I can see changes in my body, sometimes not…

I've read somewhere, that the first fat you loss is the last fat you put on... dont know if it's true or not but that's what I read. Seems to be true with me.

I'm 6'6" tall and listed my goal as 275. The reason I picked that number is because when in college I was 285 but solid as a rock. I figured I get down to 275, I'll take off a majority of my fat. But that might change once I reach it. There's a chance I might want to go lower. But to me, the weight is not the issue, it's…

Great progress!!!! You look great!!! Congrats!!!

I workout before breakfast... That works out best for me.

Understand the money part. But I bought a HRM from Walmart for 30 bucks. It seems to be working good. I've checked it against by manually checking my heart rate and it's right on. As far as Calorie counting you can create your own exercise and give an educated guess at the calories burned. There is also an Insanity Thread…

Congrats on the run. Way to push it!!!

Decided to step on the scale today... Gained 2 lbs... But I lost another 1/4" off my waist and a 1/4" off my hips(belt line)... So I consider that a victory!!!! That's 3/4 of an inch I've lost on both since I started Insanity 6 days ago... I'm sure I wont get those results every week, but that diffently makes me want to…

I'm not sure, but my resting heart rate is higher then yours. But I'm also 6'6" tall and weigh 296lbs... So I figure it takes mor calories for me to move around. My heart rate was at 85-92% during most of the work out. That might be the reason..

Day 6, Plyo Cardio Circuit done and burned 778 calories... That's higher then the first time... I didn't think i was going to burn that much... It felt like I had to take more breaks this time.... Rest day tomorrow!!!! Everybody have a great weekend and keep pushing!!!
