I have never had my thyroid checked.

I’m 5’7 and am now 11 stone 6.

I originally put my MFP goal to 2lbs a week. When I put it at 1lb a week it says I should be eating 1540 calories. I don’t know how accurate Apple watches are but if my calories just to live are 1600, surely 1540 wouldn’t be enough of a deficit? I am logging everything and writing everything. I haven’t been eating back my…

It only changed by 20 calories which I thought was strange.

I'm yet to reach a 'normal' BMI and yes the trousers I was wearing were too big. I think some of it is jealousy as most of them are always trying and failing at various diets. I might buy some new trousers to keep them quiet.

I've lost most of the weight but now it's time to tone up a bit and the bum and thigh area is full of cellulite so I want to target that now with specific exercises or whatever it takes.

I'm a vegetarian so I'll be giving the gelatin a miss. Thanks for the advice though.

Did my weekly weigh in and I maintained! Extremely happy!

I was bought a model makeover photo shoot for Christmas. I felt so bad about how I looked, I cancelled it. Even though it cost my mum a lot of money. My nephew asked why I'd cancelled it and I said I wasn't feeling great about how I looked. He replied 'don't worry, they only take a photo of your face, not your fat belly'.…

These replies are why I love this place - support and knowing that you aren't alone in this.

Thanks guys. I think I just needed to hear it from someone else. Back to it! Good luck for all your own goals x

Count me in. Need some motivation!!

I went to the supermarket after work and I was stood in the salad aisle - yes salad - a previous ex boyfriend appeared! We made pleasant chit chat and off we went. It made me think, if I can get over one guy, I can get over another. I bought my salad and treated myself to a giant Yorkshire pudding for my tea (all within my…

Thanks guys. There are tonnes of good suggestions here. You are right - I'd just end up feeling even worse about myself if I binged because I was sad. What better revenge than looking super fit and making him realise what he's just thrown away

I realised why I was going dizzy. I was holding my breath during the running sessions. I focused a lot on my breathing today and didn't get dizzy at all :)
-
I took everyone's advice to slow down and what a difference it made. I completed the whole of day 2 without stopping. It was still horrible and really hard but slowing down made it do-able. My bum and thighs are killing me now! Also, I noticed I hold my breath when I run which is probably why I was going dizzy. I focused a…

I took everyone's advice and went slower today. What a difference. I completed the entire day 2 without stopping. I had a medical check 2 weeks ago to make sure I was healthy enough to begin this journey. I'm fit as a fiddle, just really out of shape! So proud that I completed day 2. My bum and thighs are killing me now…

I started day 1 today and couldn't finish it. I've been advised to go slower as I'm a complete beginner who never walked anywhere other than to my car. I felt dizzy and my chest was burning. I'll probably have to do week one more than once

I started day 1 today and I couldn't even finish it. I can only imagine what the rest of the weeks are going to be like!!
-
I shall try a very slow pace tomorrow.
-
I thought I was going pretty slow but I guess you can always go slower :) I'll try that tomorrow. I'm also going somewhere quieter. I don't think it helped me feeling like I was being watched by all the pro runners and traffic.

Downloaded couch to 5k and will start tomorrow

I just want to finish the 5k! I've got 2 months to work my way from zero fitness to 5k fitness. Any tips?
-
All this feedback is brilliant! I get no encouragement from work colleagues or family members so knowing I'll get it here, really helps! Thank you.
-
Thanks everyone. I won't give up! I WILL MAKE IT TO THE END!!
-
Did it again today and got to 10 minutes :)
-
Thanks guys! I'll try again tonight and as long as I get past 5 minutes, I'll count it as a success!!

I threw away a pack of biscuits. To make sure I didn't go routing through the bin later in the night when I had cravings, I crushed them up and poured washing up liquid on them

Every day at around 9pm I crave McDonalds. The only way I have found to stop myself going and getting it is to put my pj's on as soon as I get in from work. The fact that i'd have to get fully dressed again to go out gives me that extra few minutes to realise I don't actually need the food. Silly I know but it seems to…

Seen as its now 29th May, I'm going to start this on 1st June. I'm hoping it will help with weight loss and with the amount of money I spend eating at restaurants! I am already foreseeing one restaurant trip with it being my nieces birthday on 2nd June but other than that, I think I'm set! Challenge accepted.
