Is there a way to do these workouts at the gym?
-
Are you eating a 15% cut from maintenance?

I am eating slightly more than BMR plus exercise calories I suppose...but really I am going with what my fitbit says I can eat for the day. BUT if the fitbit were to `say less than my BMR than I would still eat at least my BMR. It's never been less than my BMR though, and is rarely less than 1750. On my sedentary days the…

I haven't actually had the issue...hmm I wonder if it is just some people?
-
Well I was down 5 lbs in the last 3 weeks so I would say it is working.
-
Oh and I am going by the daily burn.
-
I set MFP to my BMR and then the fitbit syncs with MFP so it automatically adds on the extra calories I earn from my day to day stuff and walks, and then I manually add in my weight training or other exercise. So most days I am eating around 1850-1950 but rest days when I don't do anything aside from a short walk it's…

If you are eating at maintenance then your activity level should be factored in to that, so you shouldn't be eating exercise calories on top of your maintenance level. And yes it will work and is a great way to lose weight. A smaller deficit is better in the long run.
-
oh and I log my non walking activity on MFP because that is what I read on the fitbit forum here and on the fitbit site.
-
For the driving, start the timer when you start driving and stop it when you are done, then later go into fitbit and log that time as driving. And then remove the timed activity and it will remove the steps during that period.

It is working! Since April I have lost about 11 lbs with Em2WL, with a 12 week plateau in there.
-
Yes, you should take a diet break :)
-
I never understand how people can think eating at a smaller deficit is gluttony. Eating above maintenance, maybe but we are still at a deficit or maintenance here (aside from those who are bulking). People who make those comments about gluttony have not taken the time to read what EM2WL is about.

Yes, it is the magic pill we have all been waiting for.
-
I went for 12 weeks without losing anything and then started losing again.
-
I love this post|!! Thanks Kiki! I haven't had much time to post in this group lately...too busy eating :P I had a 12 week plateau recently which I discovered might be postpartum thyroiditis related, and will find out my blood work results on Thursday but I have FINALLY started dropping again. I did adjust my calories to…

My fitbit numbers were also lower than the online calculators so I eat according to my fit bit every day. I always eat more than my BMR but Scooby had me eating 2100 when in reality I should have been eating closer to 1800.
-
I am using my fitbit because the scooby numbers were too high for me. There are some days I burn up to 2500 but there are a lot of days where I only burn 2100. If I ate at 2100 all the time I wouldn't be losing very much if at all. Using the fitbit numbers it is more tailored to my body so there are days where I eat 1600…
-
I would get a second opinion. And I would also eat more. Net at least your BMR, not below.
-
If you have lost inches you have lost fat.
-
I am generally a slow loser, like many weeks I will lose .2 or .3, it does suck knowing how hard I worked all week. BUT if you are exercising you have to remember that you are retaining water and changing body composition. I lift heavy weights so I know I am building muscle too and that is why some of my losses are a lot…
-
Cute!
-
I am eating at a deficit according to my fitbit but I don't go less than 1800 even if the fitbit says I burned less. So I am eating anywhere from a 300-500 cal deficit.
-
Are you sure 1630 is your maintenance? That seems awfully low!
-
Full fat greek yogurt, cheese, nuts, nut butters....it adds up quickly.
-
There isn't such a thing as a modified reset. You are either doing it or you aren't. You were eating at what should have been your cut level and then you said you dropped down to 1300 (significantly below your BMR) to "shock" your system". You shocked it all right! You shocked it into thinking it isn't getting enough food.
-
Down another 3.5 lbs.
-
I upped from 1200-1850 (plus 200-400 breastfeeding calories) and have lost 10 lbs so far. I initially lost on 1200 but hit a 3 month plateau. Eating more broke the plateau, solved my digestive issues, gave me more energy and just changed my life in general.

try glutenfreegoddess.com too. I have also made oatmeal raisin cookies that were gluten free and yummy.
