  • Tried this recipe from Skinnytaste a few times. I always forget how much I like it until I make it again. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/09/low-fat-buttermilk-ranch-dressing.html
  • I didn't get any goals completed this week. There was a death of one of my best friend's spouse on Monday and it has been chaotic since then, but ready to get back with it now that things are settling down. Does this mean that I join the horde?
  • I went in expecting it to be a cheesy spin off and I also thought we would have to go an episode or two before seeing any zombies, thank goodness that wasn't the case. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.
  • I wasn't sure which team to choose, so I just choose the smallest one. Go Teens! Goals: 1. Exercise 20 minutes a day 4 x a week 2. Stay within my daily salt allotment 3. Log every meal and snack (not just some of them)
  • Sorry I missed the check in on Saturday! I had a severe sinus infection most of last week and through the weekend and didn't even get out of bed for most of that time.
  • Don't really have an easy recipe to share this week, but since there was a recent TWD episode where we found out that baby Judith was being fed acorns, here is a website on how to process and use acorns in food. The acorn coffee does sound tempting. http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Acorns-for-Food
  • I don't like pork, but my husband loves it so I found a recipe on Skinnytaste.com for Sazon Pork Chops made in a slow cooker and it is delicious. It has been added to my favorite recipes list.
  • Hey Team Daryl - I am Team Carol and this week I am supposed to share a "weapon" or some advice to keep y'all motivated. I don't really have a weapon per se, but two things I have found helpful are: 1. Planning meals and snacks for a week at a time. It will keep you from having to make multiple trips to the grocery store…
  • Unusual Protein Recipes I don't know if brussels sprouts are unusual to everyone, but I didn't grow up eating them and I didn't really know any one who had. On the last Walking Dead challenge I somehow ended up with that being one of my goals. Guess what - I absolutely loved them and they are one of the highest source of…
  • Congrats on 20 years! Your weekend plans sound absolutely wonderful. Shout Out Thursday! So far for the week I am at 62/80 and 10/45. I plan on doing the punishment tonight as well as finish the strength training portion for the week. I also still have the character challenge to do.
  • I already have my cardio and strength in, plus the character challenge. So far I have 40 extra cardio minutes and will have more tomorrow. If any one needs some, let me know.
  • I like to do this one with a vanilla cake mix and diet orange sunkist. I then add the whipped cream on top and sliced oranges.
  • I am currently reading Parasite by Mira Grant. I just finished Feed (also by Mira Grant). I just discovered this writer and I am really loving her.
  • Hello! My name is Michelle and I choose Carol. Lets go beginners!
  • I am wondering the same. I definitely need the motivation to get going again!!!

  • 1. Be retrospective like Carol: About 3 years ago I lost enough weight to finally feel good about myself. I no longer had to take blood pressure and cholesterol medicine. I was active. I even felt good enough about myself to start dating and then get married. I eventually gained all the weight (plus some) back. I had to…
  • Week 5 Beginner/Carl Cardio 110/110 Strength 60/60 Everyone challenge - yes Punishment - yes
  • I think the roasting them with the EVOO & Parm cheese is the way to go. I will give this a shot.
  • Player Challenge 1. Tara - Done 2. Eugene - I have always wanted to try brussel sprouts but didn't want to spend money on something I might not like, besides the fact that I am both intrigued by it and repelled. I plan on giving it a try this weekend. 3. Abraham - I am just tired of feeling bad all the time. I feel so much…
  • Week 4 Beginners/Carl Cardio 100/100 Strength 60/55 Within Calories all week - yes Challenge - yes Punishment - yes
  • So after completing the fit test, I am thinking I need a pre-beginners group. 1 mile: (walked) 19:42 pushups: 10 squats: 45 plank: 11 seconds flexibility: -4 in
  • So I am struggling this week to get my minutes in. It has been cold and rainy most of the week here (I am in central Texas dang it - we should never have weather like this!). I am at 53 for cardio and 0 for strength (unless I can count the 3 minutes of planks I have done so far for planksgiving). I do plan to do the…
  • OK, so I am in for Planksgiving. I will do 2 a day until I am caught up. Some of those look extremely difficult!
  • I also did WW. I lost 90 pounds on that program and I think it is a good program. I got married and forgot to take care of me so I gained the weight back. I didn't want to have to pay WW every month, and my husband prefers counting calories, so I started on MFP. The only thing I really miss about WW is the weekly points,…
  • Week 3 Beginner/Carl Cardio - 100/90 Strength - 75/50 Within Calories - Yes Character Workout - Yes Punishment - Exempt, but did it anyway
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS two years ago, but several doctors told me they suspected that I had it but only my current doctor bothered to test me to find out. She wanted me to try eating better and light exercise before starting any medication and it definitely seems to be helping. I am really glad to have read this post…
