Actually having a pear shaped body has benefits. Since pear people carry less fat on their waist, it lessens the risk of some diseases. Power to the pear! :)

If you mean your man wants a protein powder easier to digest, I would suggest whey protein because it is easier to digest and is gluten free as well. I don't see how how protein powders work differently between men and women.

I would really suggest getting a kitchen scale to accurately measure the sweet potato. I eat sweet potatoes and am often surprised at how many grams the potato can actually be. I got mine for about $10 at Walmart so it's pretty affordable.

I'm currently eating at maintenance with 1820 calories and I eat calories burned from exercise back. I am 5'4 and 110 lbs.

Focus on eating healthy. Have plenty of water, tea, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, meat, and dairy. That's what I do if I eat junk food.

Since you said you aren't reaching your protein goal, add some protein powder if you would like. I use protein powder to hit my goal unless I have an extra serving of meat which is enough to fulfill my protein goal.
