The vegetable comment was in reference to your own diet. As for epilepsy and the diet I'm not sure, other then kgeyser asking up thread about issues (health related like dehydration, bone fractures, etc.) with a keto diet, where the diet was referenced. The epilepsy site references some of the negative effects of the diet.…

The 2 IRL k-e-t-o friends who I discuss this with both have constipation. Both have been doing this diet for over a year and the one even longer. The individual who has been doing it longer also has epilepsy. He follows a modified Atkins method which provides less restriction then the traditional k-e-t-o diet. It provides…

One of the things I've enjoyed about this site is the diversity. I have friends with different diets, different levels of fitness, and different health issues. Nothing wrong with wanting support for your diet but diversity is like a great Thanksgiving dinner, you get to have a little of everything.

http://www.epilepsy.com/learn/treating-seizures-and-epilepsy/dietary-therapies/ketogenic-diet Discusses the ketogenic diet pro's and con's. Interesting how they find it difficult for adults to adhere to it and children too. A few issues with long term use are listed also. No mention though of avoiding vegetables and…

Just remember the beer you drink has no fat or protein....hmm.....one day.....I doubt you could do it.

I think, and I'm spitballing, if a greater increase of BG concentration is combined with significantly greater output of insulin(how far above the set point?!? is a significant) then you may be looking at duodenal ulcers. So, a potential abnormal secretion of a small bowel hormone or several of them may be the culprit. I…

Has he tried bat blood? The only guy I knew who did the 'deer antler' thing also used bat droppings, ate no starches and did some amazing distance stuff like R2R2R and then his kidneys started to fail. IDK...maybe extreme ideas and extreme people end up in a bad place. Everybody does something silly at least once.

Okay, presumably the toy aisle has two ends so you really only walked 6 laps and if you ate the donut had an excess of 175 calories so you'll gain weight. Either do not bring the kiddo or stop exercising at WALMART or stop eating donuts in the hopes you can walk enough to burn the calories. Your 209 calorie burn was…

For most people simply using the MACRO counter on this site is how they determine what MACRO was at a certain gram per day. What or how did you ascertain your gram intake? I thought I read where you were not being accurate with your calories so how would you really know how many carbs you were ingesting? So, if you can't…
