I wonder what will become of OP if they continue down this road? Will we find them on the side of a road....nothing but empty cookie boxes behind them?
-
OP---the vast vast majority of LCers consume below 150g. Some do 100, a few do less then 50, and very very very minor group do <50. It is goal dependent and activity level dependent. You'll read of LCers consuming 200+ carbs due to exercise above and beyond what others do. None of this means much of anything except…

Well workout is done, food consumed and we have snow. It is beer thirty here. I think I'll try the Monkshiner.
-
Got it. But why isn't company called yestheyare instead of arnott?
-
I was wondering up thread what they are. They sound evil...so deprived=temptation makes sense.
-
Will there be singing? Will the 'message' never really get attached to the arrow but still hit the 'horse man with coconuts' and be attached? Have I maybe seen this movie too many times? Right. You stay here and we leave.

I've had so many Girl Scout cookies people lift my eyelids to know what the temperature is outside. Mercury....in a cookie?!? Is there a pledge pin on my uniform?!?!?!?
-
Um, she knows who it is and the moon may not have been out? If he was going to harm her why get his mail first? Can we make more assumptions or are we exhausting most of them?
-
Okay, on the block for the weekend.

Wait. This is the exercise and fitness part of MFP and we shouldn't conclude he (the man in the chair) wasn't using a foot to guide his movement, his hands, or be powered. OP, were you close enough to see how the chair was powered? Do you know how fast you were running? Did he turn around after you passed? Does this…

Well that clears that up. Graci. I am finding this OP to be amusing.

This may be the book I'm thinking of; review of twins, etc. Nipples are discussed?!?
-
Please define pavement. I do find this fairly comical BTW.

IDK....I'm a knucklehead. I'd walk up to the guy's door next day, intro myself and ask about 'the turnaround'. That is if I cared which I wouldn't. Running around at 11:30PM is probably a time where other runners may not be seen with frequency; gated community; dude in a wheelchair. This.....this is MFP.
-
We need more hypothetical situations. Come on people.....help the OP out. Why was this happening?!?!?!?!?!?
-
So by the light of the moon he realized the mail person placed someone's mail in his box. He turned around to return the mail with a note attached(you didn't see the pen he had in his breast pocket). You incorrectly assumed there was an issue with you running since you were running past 'runners curfew' and he was going to…

Is this the book Herschel Walker's childhood workout is in?

Doctors, or at least the ones I speak with, like my PCP, really do not have time to stop and listen to a pharma rep. They even post signs outside their entrances discouraging a rep from entering. When I visit my PCP we discuss Steelers football and he did ask me last year what I was doing to lose weight 2 years in a row.…

Katz and Minger are great reads as Lemurcat mentioned. I received Cholesterol Clarity (Jimmy Moore with Dr Eric Westman) last evening. A snowstorm is coming so I'll go through this book over the weekend. I also ordered a Volek book and hopefully it arrives before the snow. I have an older book by Volek and I'd like to see…

Agreed. Today's term 'gear' or in my old head 'roids' is something else entirely. More then one talented local athlete has wrecked their lives, scholarships, using steroids with other recreational drugs. In terms of macro content and even ketone level I think the vast majority of people are closer to each other then they…

Pineapple consumed yesterday for me was 97 grams in weight and about 50 calories. This roughly over 3 ounces and 12 grams of sugar. Pizza, in and of itself, has a pretty neat macro breakdown in terms of fat and protein from the cheese. Carbs from the crust make it a lovely portable macro meeting food item. The tomatoes…

I haven't read down thread and you have been provided these as examples. Potatoes and leafy greens provide more then a fair share of daily micronutrients. Some grocers will 'give you' leafy green vegetables for free if you ask. Ex. last year the produce department at a local store was 'cropping' the greens off beets. I…

I am looking forward to what they find in terms of overall numbers. Kids learn about nutrition in school. They then read and believe the magazines and 'emotion' of good versus bad foods.

I think the topic was moved several times on the main boards and niner just stopped posting. In a general sense, I'm not sure how much better any diet is when building muscle. Strength and muscle growth are different. So, I wonder between keto, LCD, or a balance of MACROS if the protein is being hit with a minimum how much…

I call out "REPRESENTATIVE!!" it works!

I'm 20 pounds from a healthy BMI. Not sure I'd have a criteria or a marker. And, sin taxes like alcohol, cigs, and eventually sugar are fairly ironic when you think about it. Sugar would be one of epic irony. Cut taxes for farmers to grow a taxable crop. Personally, I think starting down the road of taxing foods is…

Bloomberg View: In Mexico, a Soda Tax Success Story. This week's Bloomberg has a short write-up on the tax on soda in Mexico. Paraphrasing the article, sugary drinks are the primary driver of obesity, purchases of sugary drinks dropped 12%, obesity is becoming a global epidemic the greatest group helped by the tax are the…

The link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/578951/ketogenic-diets-not-good-for-muscle-building It seems this has been posted more then once in the threads on the forums. The comments are interesting for those who want to read it.

I'm picking at it; there is a good write up about the book and the faulty thoughts therein. Best nutrition book last year I read was Pollan In Defense of Food. A good read for runners is Fitgerald's Racing Weight.

I'll look for the thread. It has/had a brief discussion about retention/building/losing etc with respect to muscle.
