  • I do competitions and when I cut/prep - or when my body fat % is drastically reduced my period vanishes entirely. For me personally it comes down to body fat. Too little and my monthly is non-existent. Borderline and I'll get a little spotty for a day or two. Enough body fat and it's back regularly.
  • And you can find instant oatmeal packets - plain - with little to no sugar at all.
  • I usually buy the packets of plain instant oats. Generic kind is 100 calories per packet. I cook it and then throw in 4 or 5 scrambled egg whites (plain). Flavor it however you like, it's very versatile. Sometimes I add a sweetener and some almonds, cinnamon, etc. Other times I make it with pepper, hot sauce, spinach, etc.…
  • When you're trying to sleep at night and muscle memory kicks in and you start kicking and punching involuntarily... heehee.. love that! My husband, not so much!
  • Coming to this late but.... When you can't meet/greet anyone ever without throwing an elbow as a joke lol
  • I don't know. It seems like too much of a fast and easy solution. So get cool-sculpted, but does the person change anything about their nutrition? Who knows... It's certainly not a remedy for weight loss, nor a prevention for future weight gain, it targets and kills only a fraction of the fat in the treated area. I…
  • Thanks! My coach wants to go slow (not starve me) LOL! she doesn't want me coming in too hard or too lean as bikini tends to be a little bit of a softer look and I tend to lean out very quickly... two weeks makes a huge difference. But I also know my body and want to do "ME" so... we will have to agree to disagree and come…
  • Bread is just good for the soul...
  • I take Tonalin and am happy with the product.
  • I ran every day while I was in Utah... I was wondering about the higher elevation as well. Oddly enough, I found no difference in my performance what so ever. However, I was shocked that after running for about 45 minutes in the blazing sun at almost 100 degrees I wasn't sweating at all... when I returned to my families…
  • You can find a ton of resources, videos, programs and ideas if you Google or Youtube or Pintrest. A lot of good information for beginners. I say forget the machines... grab some light dumbbells and start doing some cardio-lifting... best of both worlds.
  • Protein pancake - 1 Scoop of Vega coconut almond protein powder (or a powder of your choice), 3 egg whites, 1 tablespoon of baking soda, a splash of water until you get pancake consistency. I sprinkled cinnamon and butter spray on it and added a couple more scrambled egg whites on top. Delish! And for you macro tracking…
  • I am very active but I set mine at sedentary. I know that within MFP and other programs and trackers calories tend to be under estimated while exercise burn tend to be over estimated. To be on the safe side I also under estimate my calorie burn and over estimate my calories. Maybe overkill but I don't like surprises
  • I've learned not to look back... I tend to leave the past in the past, but once in a while it's healthy too remember just how far we've come. I was always the "fat" kid, never into sports or athletics, hated gym class, always self-conscious. As a young adult I learned to love myself and gained a ton of confidence, but…
  • Aw really? But I love my mocha-amino-energy... I throw it in my black iced coffee every morning and get a jump on my workout lol!
  • I've never heard of using it for reducing sugar cravings. As a BB it has benefits... Protein synthesis - preventing your muscles from being catabolized during a cut. Helps to maintain cell volume and hydration, speeds up wound and burn healing and recovery, replenishes declining glutamine levels during intense workouts,…
  • There are lotts of options for high calories as others mentioned above. If you're trying to stick to cleaner foods I'd go with nut butters, avocado, whole grain breads, pastas, full fat hummus, there are some pretty clean protein bars that have big calories, full fat butter, yogurt, nuts, things like that. And like one…
  • Egg white protein pancakes! 3 egg whites, one scoop of your favorite protein powder, any flavor. 1 Tablespoon of baking soda, a little water. Mix until you get pancake batter consistency, cook like you would a regular pancake. Eat. They are also good cold and especially yummy if you roll them around a couple of pieces of…
  • When I food prep on Sundays I make sure to make all of "my stuff" and then I add some of the comfort things that my husband likes as well. So for example... one night we might have grilled salmon and asparagus. I'll give him a side of rice or sweet potato and I'll opt for extra asparagus or a side salad. I guess food…
  • Egg whites scrambled with butter flavored cooking oil spray, add a dash of raw oats, a tablespoon of PB or another nut butter, sometimes a mashed up half a banana... sprinkle a little cinnamon. It's like eating French toast without the toast.
  • The only micro-nutrient I really keep my eye on is the sodium intake. All of the others equal out by the end of the week if you're eating a balanced diet.
  • This!!!!! omg... I am obsessed with coconut amino!
  • Just plain old calorie free balsamic. I also love using seasoned rice vinegar.... I could chug that out of the bottle!
  • A lot of options here... like many others said, work them into your calories. Unless you're the type that can't stop at just one, or at a serving... Find the discipline, once you say "no" and move on once, the next time is easier and the next time is easier and it keeps getting easier until you just break the habit. We…
  • I am ok after running... but lifting heavy is another story. I could eat the world after a good lifting session!
  • There are much better protein powders out there designed as meal replacements or to assist with weight loss efforts... and less expensive. But again, I like the mixed berry drink powder as a liquid multi-V. No calories and tastes yummy and helps me to avoid sweets
  • Eh... I'd start with calorie counting first and get that under your belt with logging/tracking. Set your target and do that for a few weeks.. drink water and eat real food. Don't get into supplementation until you get a handle on your nutrition... in my opinion.
  • The only Slim Fast I use is the mixed berry drink powder... oddly enough it's the closest thing I can find to a multi-V that doesn't contain all the B vitamins of which I am intolerant. It also gives me a little energy pop and I love the taste lol. I don't use it for weight loss otherwise and I've never tried their other…
