I'm a 5'3" woman and weigh around 152. My goal is 130 or less! But, 130 is realistic- that's what i weighed 4 years ago when I got married.

thanks for the support. I think I handled it well. He felt really bad, so I told him the next time I need a big favor he has to drop everything and help me out!

Um, no I'm not. I'm just a little fat. Can you believe how stupid people can be?? I wanted to crawl in a hole and die! He only sees me once or twice a year, and I must have put on a few. But really! He did feel terrible and kept apologizing....which only made it worse. My self esteem is in the toilet.

Walking around the house in my undewear in front of my husband!

Count me in. I'm 5'3" and have been doing this for about a monthI went from 154 to 151.5 so far, which doesn't seem like much. I think age plays into it, too. I'm 44 now and know that losing weight was easier when I was 20!

I understand that, but I'd like her to understand that I'm on her side, and we can help each other.

I am 5'3" and weigh 150 pounds. My best adult weight is around 125-128, so I have substantial pounds to lose. A good friend, who is also diabetic by the way, is 5'2" and weighs close to 200 pounds. She is also on a diet plan and is trying to lose weight, but instead of being supportive of my efforts, she minimizes my…

I have to admit, sometimes weighing myself daily can be unmotiviating. Like when the day before I was perfect on calories and exercised, and then I'll see I gained a pound!!

My snacks tend to me cheese sticks, apples, bananas, pretzels

I've read and heard it's healthier to eat more, smaller meals. I try, but sometimes it's hard to fit that in my day. I typically have breakfast around 8am, a snack around 10, lunch at noon, another snack around 3, dinner at 7. I rarely eat after dinner.

Hi- sorry for all my posts, but I'm really motiviated to lose weight! I weigh myself daily and for me it keeps me honest and keeps things real. I know that my weight can fluctuate a couple pounds from day to day, but when I see a 5 lb weight gain it gets me back on track quick! I find that if I don't weigh myself daily…

Good suggestion. And would take me longer to drink!

I love wine, but damn the calories!! I've cut down to 1 glass, ok sometimes 2 per night. Any other tips on how I can keep it to a minimum? I know they are empty calories, but I enjoy them so much.

I thought about this because, yes, I do want to lose 20 pounds for me, but also I know my husband wants me to. He's very nice and says nothing, but I know he can't help but notice my weight gain. I mean, the man sees me "nekid". I started wondering if I were single would I be as focused on it? I don't think so, really. Not…

Way to be!!

I get this too- for me it's salt. If I feel a craving for it, I'll steam some broccoli, spray with butter spray, then salt. I know I don't really need the salt, but at least I'm not adding many calories!

Like an alcoholic, sometimes you have to hit rock bottom with your weight problem before you take real action. I think I've hit that. I got on the scale this morning and am at the highest weight of my life- 153 pounds. I am a 5'3" woman, so this is very high for me. When I got married 4 years ago I weighed 128 and felt…

That's my favorite form of exercise! My doggy is just a year old and has a ton of energy. I take her on two walks a day for about 45 minutes each. She loves it, and I know it's good for me.

Has anyone had long time success with these? I tried Nutrisystem for a month and found most of the food completely inedible! My dog wouldn't even touch it and she eats duck poop! I did lose some weight, but only because I wasn't eating very much at all. Is Jenny Craig food any better? Also, do you have to do the programs…

When I know I'm going to a restuarant, like tonight, I go to their website and look at the menu. I plan in advance what I'm going to order and stick to it. I don't let anyone talk me into sharing calamari appetizers, either!

Apricot chicken- good and good for you! 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts- sliced to stuff Stuff a mixture of: slivered almonds, fresh chopped cilantro, chopped apricots, dried cranberries After you stuff them, close them shut with toothpics (it's ok if some spills out) Cook on 375 for about 30 minutes or so Top with a…

I realized that in the past when I'm trying to lose weight I think of myself as "on a diet". And when I lose the weight, I'm "off the diet". This way of thinking hasn't worked because I always gain the weight back. This time I'm going to try to think of this as my new lifestyle. A permanent way of eating healthy, smaller…

I think if you're going to go over on anything, protein would be the one!

I think being married makes it harder for me. I love to cook, and my husband loves to eat! He has no weight problems and never has. I suppose I could just eat a little bit of what I cook then fill up on salad, but boy is that hard to do! I've tried cooking just for him and doing Nutrisystem, but got so sick of that food I…

My husband is lucky- he has good genes, and high metabolism. He is trim and fit and doesn't even have to try. He can eat chocolate, steaks, pizza, it doesn't matter. He never gains an ounce. He does not understand how hard it is for the rest of us to lose weight. He is supportive of my weight loss program, but I know deep…

Hi- I've been struggling with the same dang 20 pounds for three years now! I have the same pattern- I get serious, lose 10-12 pounds, then gain it all back. But........I keep trying!
