Wendy, first concern is if you're feeling light headed when you work out you have to stop! sit down, catch your breath and wait until you feel better. some good carbs before your workout should fuel you through. maybe a banana if you're on a low carb diet and protein and fibre ASAP afterwards. squats and dead lifts will…

a wee trick I learned when I was younger was to run in the shallow end of the pool for about 10 minutes, not too intense or anything, just get your knees up and down gently. just do about 5 widths. alternatively when you get into the shower after your workout put the shower head down to your legs and spray the muscles with…

feel free to add me. new friends are always welcome and the people i've met here since the start of February have been great support so far. If i can pay it forward I will!

I found that if you don't have weights and cardio equipment that one of those stretchy bands with handles on each end is handy. I hook it round the leg of a table or banister and workout from there. you can do standing rows for your back or turn around and work the chest like a standing bench press. stand on the band and…

My goal is just to strip away the fat. I'm pretty solidly built, 6'6" tall and 19 stone in weight. people i talk to say i dont really need to loss weight as i look in proportion to my height but they dont see what i see under my clothes. i want to retain my muscle mass though otherwise i'd just cardio every day.

warm ups and stretching afterwards is something ive never done. does it make a difference weight loss wise or is it just so you dont injure yourself while training and dont feel as sore the next day?

Happy days, thanks. what about time in the gym. sometimes I would do a session in 35-40 minutes and Ive completed all the exercises for the muscle group I'm working on that day. other days i'm there for over an hour? is it more about the burn rather than time spent?

Don't do it chief! if you craving chocolate its because your body is lacking in magnesium, try a banana or a handful of nuts and the craving will go away and always think about how mad you'll be with yourself later when you're inputting your food for the day that you had those chocolates! stay strong!

I know this sounds obvious but try buying things you don't normally buy. instead of rice try cous cous, or noodles instead of pasta, sweet potato instead of regular potato , things like that. for protein try tuna instead of chicken even just once a week and mix it with salsa (sounds horrible but trust me its good!) instead…

hey try this for your cravings…

Hey Superwomannn Yes protein is good for weight loss in my experience. Like you say it helps keep you feeling full and it keeps cravings to a minimum by keeping your blood sugar at a good level. You should be lifting weights though to make the most of it. protein is not good for cardio only workouts. You don't have to be…

Mate ive just signed up today and you have given me some serious motivation! if i do as well as you i'd be over the moon! ive tried over the years to lose weight but nothing has worked. one bit of advice that stuck with me though was this it takes 4 weeks for you to notice the weight loss. 8 weeks for your friends to…
