It sounds like almost all of your exercise is coming from cardio right now. While that's definitely going to help the weight come off, I would suggest throwing in some more strength and flexibility work as well. This won't speed up your weight loss by too much, but that combined with a really healthy amount of protein will…

Thanks so much guys!

I used to be terrified of lifting, but I have 5 and 25 lb weights at home and I follow videos from pop sugar fitness. I just bought a book on lifting for women so hopefully I'll be confident enough to use weights in the gym soon!

I'd like to do this in September as well! I've started it before but kept quitting, and now I've been focusing on running (week 4 of C25k as of today!). By September I'll be where I want with running though, so I'll be ready to try and tackle this….in a dorm room.

I'm on week 3 and thus far it's been fairly easy for me to make the transitions between weeks, but man…week 4 looks a lot more daunting than week 3 seemed.

My school has a joke about the girl to guy ratio (it's 60-40) so I understand that completely. I yo-yo dieted for a while and never kept weight off but when I saw school approaching for my sophomore year I really started focusing on weight loss.

I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this yet or not…but there is a psychological phenomena where telling someone you're going to do something (or saying you have!) tends to keep you from actually doing it, because you feel accomplished in having begun. My goal is to let the weight fall off and have people ASK! Wouldn't…

I live in Chapel Hill! It's really great to see so many people from this area getting fit- I'm used to just seeing completely toned bodies and being discouraged. Mind if I friend you all?

1350 is definitely do-able! You have to start thinking more about feeding your body what it needs rather than what you're used to in order to satisfy your recommended calories as well as nutrients. An entire plate of fruits and vegetables is going to have as many calories as one scoop of ice cream usually. Prepackaged…

I'm two inches taller (5'3") and currently at 153, hoping to get down to around 120 or 125. Feel free to message me or add me as a friend. I'm always up for more accountability.

Im having the same issue! Current weight? 153 at 5'4" Goal weight? 125 Planned loss per week? 1-2lbs Current caloric goal? 1200 Current caloric intake? 800-900

I'm starting day 1 over again tomorrow. I couldn't finish today, but I had already done cardio in the morning so my legs were sore to begin with. If anyone wants to partner up, send me a friend request and let me know! I'm hoping to do 5 days of 30DS and then a day of running, so each level takes 12 days instead of ten.…

I'm 5'3" and my starting/current weight is around 153. I'm hoping to bring that down to 120, but if I'm happy at 125 I may just maintain…or lose even more than that- who knows! I would love love love to be 130 by halloween, so I can feel more confident taking part in my crazy college town's festivities!

An upcoming family beach vacation was actually my motivation to lose weight. I want to feel confident enough to do what you've done here! Great motivation to see that you've done it!

I have natural high and low-lights in my hair so I buy lightening dye out of a box. It lightens all the hair a few steps and I maintain high/lowlights. Never paid more than ten dollars for it…I'm naturally medium brunette but I go to blonde. The absolute best thing I have done for my hair is not shampooing often. It strips…

This is my situation as well. I'm in college but living at home for the summer and all of the breaks. My mom regularly brings home fast food (mcdonalds, wendys…) for dinner or she makes frozen pizzas, etc. It's hard to stay healthy in this kind of environment but at the end of the day I just appreciate her effort, eat in…

10/20/2014 seems awfully soon- but it is motivating to know that by some account (however exaggerated) I can make it by Christmas!

I'd love more friends my age on here! I'm 18 and I attend UNC, studying sociology and economics. I'm incredibly out of shape right now but I'm starting Couch to 5k and loving it, so running is definitely my favorite form of cardio. Bananas are my my go to fitness food, and I love sharing smoothie recipes! Not really sure…

Im currently in college and have a huge passion for the outdoors. That being the case, I have a lot of friends who want to spontaneously drive to the beach to go on runs in the sand, hike in the mountains, bike down long trails near campus, etc. I don't want my unhealthy weight to hinder my social and spiritual experience…
