I bought my New Balance shoes from sports direct in the sale(40 0/0 off). I chose these over other brands because they make them in wider fitting. They are extremely comftable and I wear them every opportunity.

How long have you been going to the gym? I personally would spend longer on the X trainer if you're struggling on the treadmill. I spend between 2 and 3 hours 3 times per week in the Gym. My usual routine is strength training for 20 mins. 30 mins on the bike, treadmill, and elliptical trainer, finishing on the rower for 10 mins. I certainly am aware of people who obviously take care of themselves. I also am critical( not verbally ofcourse ) of those that don't.

I try to drink 9 glasses each day, not counting endless cups of black tea.

55 here and almost 80lbs lost in 6 months. A combination of diet and excercise. Now I have to decide when to stop.

There is free NHS app. NHSChoices I believe from memory. Means listening to an English bird called Laura but in every other way perfectly good. Like others I would emphasise the importance of a decent pair of shoes. Go out and enjoy.

77lbs in 5 1/2 months. So, 2-3lbs per week.

Just a thought, try a different set of scales at the gym for instance. I did this and was pleasantly surprised to find my scales were out.

The first time I used the eliptical I managed 2 minutes, yes, a whole 2 minutes. Within a short space of time I had built up to 60 minutes and loving it. I now do 30 minutes as I found I was only working on the eliptical and nothing else. What I'm saying is stick at it and you will soon be posting your 60 minute stints.

As a life long tea junkie, I now drink mainly Nacto Indian masala blend spiced tea, made with cloves,cinnamon,ginger,cardamom and black pepper. One of the many advantages of living near a city with a large Asian population is being able to readily buy such exotic fayre.
