Well... if you are just looking to build up your chin-up/pull-up... those are the exercises that you should do... and the machines and rows will not help you... as much as you would hope... and it is always sad to see these big gym guys strugglying with pull-ups....

You can either get a helper to hold your back or legs as you go up... or if you can't find any one willing to help then get a band These will help you develop your chin up ....

What i do with my old pictures is let others at the gym see them... because they can't believe I was ever overweight... It is so hard for many to believe i wasn't born... in a gym....^^

I use to be a drill Sargent in the Army... and I'll give you some advice in losing weight in the military.... get a workout buddy.. someone like yourself that needs motivation... Nothing beats a buddy pushing you... sadly there are alot of people in the military that are over the limit

I personally would love to just past the 15% mark I've been hovering around the 17-18% mark for a few months......^^ according to all the pictures I would like 10 or 12%.. To make it a better exerice... don't use a cart... carry everying in one or two baskets or bag... even if you don't buy anything carry some cans of soup.. work it out....^^ a can is 8 ounces so two cans is 1lbs...
