It's tedious, but you can create your own recipe/meals and save them or add the item to the data with the info you provide.

You should look up the Dawn Phenomenon and Somogyi phenomenon - morning hypoglycemia DOES exist!

WHAT???!!!! I am NEVER hungry. You DO NOT have to be hungry to lose weight. That mentality is how diets fail. When you eat, eat foods that fill you up. If you are hungry, snack on vegetables or fruit. Stay well hydrated - thirst is often confused with hunger. Hunger is a learned behavior or being hungry is a learned…

I don't know about anyone else, but when I lost weight (and then gained it back because I stopped counting calories) I tried to educate myself on eating more and losing weight. And it is working. I am no longer eating 1200 calories a day but I am still losing weight. Granted, it's not at a phenomenal rate like it was the…

you are ending your day with 900-1100 calories left to eat - I'd eat more! If they say I can have, I have it!
-
Please read - you do not have to 'have' hypoglycemia to have your blood sugar go to low - it goes to low (which is hypoglycemia) for various reason - like NOT EATING ENOUGH http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hypoglycemia/DS00198/DSECTION=causes

EAT! You don't have to STARVE to be on a diet. Find out your TDEE and eat at subtract 20% of that and eat that much. Shakiness could be caused by low blood sugar. You don't have to have diabetes to have your blood sugar dip too low.

This is what I don't understand (and NEVER pondered until I gained back a good portion of weight too) How can a person eat 1200 calories a day (usually a huge deficit unless you are already small) and then UP your calories and expect to keep the weight off? So you confused your body, got it used to eating a little bit of…
-
But if your TDEE is 1611 - you should be able to eat 1611 and not gain weight. That would be your maintenance level. But you said that you gain as soon as you eat over 1400 calories - see the problem?
-
any diet that's a 'lose weight fast' "lose weight easy' 'lose weight in 30 days" "lose weight quick" diet - is BS - what happens when you quit taking HCG? http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/truth-about-hcg-for-weight-loss
-
You don't SEE the CRAZINESS of ONLY being able to MAINTAIN weight at 1400 calories????? There's something wrong with that! SERIOUSLY! ETA - just seen that you had gastrectomy - that's a whole different 'diet' there. A person who didn't have the surgery should not have a 1400 calorie maintenance level. I have no idea how…

I also had 2 children - both via C-sections

I'm not going to go through all of the posts, but you most likely lost water weight. Good luck - hopefully your success continues

I weigh/measure everything. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had diabetes and had to watch my carbs closely - and adjust insulin according to how much I ate. I discovered that my idea of a serving and the actually serving were WAY off. What I thought was 2 servings of cereal at breakfast time - when weighed out…

Why do we need carbohydrates? Carbohydrate is a nutrient that our body needs, it is an organic compound made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Carbohydrates are the main energy source for our body- they are the energy that gets used first (before protein, fat and alcohol). It is recommended that about 45-60% of our energy…

you should be eating around 1900- but you could go as far down at 1600 calories. I always go for the upper number when I plateau. I weight my food because (example- not real numbers) 6oz of beef is 320 calories - so I know that if I had 6oz of meat I just at 320 calories. I do not eliminate carbs from my diet. I try to get…
-
I guess I really don't understand the question about weighing food. I usually eat 4-6oz of meat. I weight out that much . . . and then eat it ;)
-
I know it sounds counteractive - but when I hit a plateau, I ate more and the scale started moving again - at the rate of about 1-2#/week

I gained weight the first month that I did Insanity- it's probably water weight. As your muscles repair themselves, they take up more water. Are you sore?
-
http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ I use that one and eat according to my exercise level
-
I've been using MFP for over 2 years. Feel free to add me! I'm close to my goal (again) but will probably use MFP when I get there again, because I know that I will gain the weight back if I don't use it

Use this calculator - listen to some of the podcasts while there- you'll learn a lot! http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/
