  • It was before low fat diets became the in thing
  • what 'entire food group' exactly did I cut out?
  • do what works for you - after 6 years of calorie restriction and my weight constantly going up and down, I've done NSNG for over a year and lost and maintained weight. I have gone from using an inhaler for asthma almost daily for the last 30 years to a couple of times a week. Inflammation in my shoulder and knee are gone.…
  • watch some videos on sugars and grains by gary taubes - you will learn a lot and change the way you eat http://garytaubes.com/2016/12/widespread-praise-for-the-case-against-sugar/
  • have you heard of the NSNG way of eating (No Sugar No Grain) - it's not a 'low carb' diet - you basically don't eat sugars or grains (wheat, rice, pasta, flour, oats - etc). Research grains and sugar and what they do to the body. It's not the food that makes us fat, it's hormones that are disrupted by the FOODs that we…
  • I add a tablespoon of heavy whipping cream and some coconut oil and blend - no sweetener - the HWC gives it a nice flavor and I find I don't need the sweetness. Sometimes I'll add a little vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  • I stared LCHF diet about a month ago after a very long plateau - at least 6 months. I started doing Insanity again and eating LCHF (with a few slip -ups here and there) and have managed to lose #8 in about 6-7 weeks. People think it's an 'unhealthy' lifestyle. I have no idea what Atkins is -but I'm not following an Atkins…
  • You must remember 'a calories is not a calorie' meaning - they are not the same! If you ate 1000 calories of salad vs. 1000 calories of chocolate cake, your body is going to digest and use those calories differently. Choose healthy whole foods and avoid processed and sugars. I ran into a busy time of the year and just…
  • a good podcast about intermittent fasting is on YouTube by Chalene Johnson and Melissa McAllister - We have been told for years to eat breakfast. I am never hungry at breakfast time - I believe intermittent fasting works for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6uKXT8oYAY
  • I don't usually eat until after noon. It's usually overnight oatmeal rolled oats (not quick) yogurt chia seeds milk and then I add maybe raisins and pecans, apples and cinnamon, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, sliced almonds, bananas and peanut butter, honey and apples, coconut and dried cranberries, pomegranates…
  • A big difference is n my face
  • I always I always named the workout exactly what it was so I could compare my first time doing it my second or third

  • I've done it four times and LOVE it! Month two got long when the workouts were 58 minutes, but I always told myself I just had to get through the warmup and if I wanted to stop that day, I could. I never stopped! Push yourself a little more than you normally would. Let being uncomfortable become comfortable! You can do it!

  • I turned 45 in February. I went from 162# (probably a little more than that, I hated the scale) and am currently in a #127-#132 range. I don't stress over that 5#. I didn't 'get healthy' until I was 42! You can do it!
  • I'd personally finish the Beta round. I did Insanity - and it's hard! You would get a good base to do Insanity. I know so many people that started Insanity and never finished because they felt it was too hard. I did Insanity BEFORE T25 and wish I had done it the other way around. I did finish it (Insanity) with good…
  • I did Insanity, T25 alpha and Beta, I'm now on T25 Gamma and Have P90X3 waiting when I'm done in 2 weeks. I wish I had done T25 BEFORE insanity because I found T25 to be a bit 'easy' compared to insanity. I'm loving Gamma because of the dumbbells - I feel I'm getting more toned now. I have peeked at P90X3 and think it's…
  • I did it and successfully lost inches. I then moved on to Insanity and T25, which I think Jillian prepared me for. It's a good workout
  • I finished it and did T25 and then an Insanity/T25 hybrid workout. In my opinion - Pure Cardio is the hardest of the workouts in the first month. Non-stop sweating. Goes by fast, but stay focused to get the most out of your workouts! Remember to keep your core tightened. I have so much more definition in my abs!
  • I don't track calories burned during sleep - only during my workouts. I use a Polar FT4 HRM for the calories burned. I can definitely tell that I am getting better since the calories burned are getting to be less and less.
  • I, personally, just create a NEW EXERCISE and name it (example) T25 Alpha- Cardio or T25 Beta Speed 2.0 This way, when I am logging my exercise calories burned, I can see how much I am improving or not during each workout and figure out what makes me burn less (not enough sleep or too early in the morning) or more. Just…
  • I personally don't worry about my macros. I eat when I am hungry and I eat a MINIMUM amount of calories not a maximum. (unless my day dictated otherwise - example, if it's a work day and I get too busy to eat). I don't think, "I can only eat 1200 calories (actually I have mine set to 1600). My mentality is I have to try to…
  • Whenever possible, I use weights, even if they are not using weights. I only did level 1 for a few days because yes, it was boring (and too easy).
  • I'm going to add you :)
  • Personally, I liked them all. The hardest workout was definitely Insanity. If you're just starting out - I'd do T25. It's a good workout and the workout is 25 minutes with 2½-3½ minute cool down - so just under 30 minutes. Insanity & T25 incorporate cardio, ab, strength and stability. Jillian Michael's is also a great…
  • Not always true - a cup of cereal (because I buy many different kinds) vary - 1 cup can be anywhere from 27g-32g. It depends. A cup and a gram (oz) are totally different things
  • Two c-sections and I had my second child 4 years ago at 40 years old. Just find an exercise program that you enjoy doing! I did Jillian michael's extreme shred and shed, 30 day shred, Insanity and soon to finish T25. A healthy diet and exercise will tighten it up! You can do it
  • The 'girl' push-up is merely a modified push-up according to Shaun T. It's just as good for you as an unmodified!
  • You shouldn't have to workout that much to maintain- maybe you should have your thyroid checked?
  • :) as mentioned - you can't really spot reduce -but you can lose the fat and tighten... Eventually. I did insanity and have 2 weeks left of focus T25. I'm in the best shape of my life at nearly 45 years old and having had a nearly 10# baby and a baby at 40 years old! My belly is gone. If you are looking for a quick workout…
