#1 of Muscle and #1 of fat each weight #1 #1 of Muscle does take up less room than #1 of fat . . .

I'd get a HRM to calculate your calorie burn. From everything I've read - the 'average person' burns about 100 calories per mile - depending on your age, size and fitness level. if you are over-estimating 130 calories a day - times 5 days, that's a 650 calorie difference.

Do you use a Heart Rate Monitor to calculate calorie burn?
-
I agree - I certainly wouldn't stop exercising to break a plateau - I'd eat more
-
are you eating enough? Are you meeting your Net calories daily? Informative article: http://fitnesswithnatalie.blogspot.com/2011/05/most-dreaded-word-in-weight-loss.html from the blog: In my experience, the solution to ending a weight-loss plateau means modifying the most extreme measure of the current weight loss plan.…

I moved on to extreme Shed and Shred after doing 30DS and moved up to 8# weights :) made a world of difference and then the #5's seemed so light.

I used #5 weights and a HRM to calculate calorie burn

Day 1 - 17 - 30 (took about 6 weeks)

Thank you!!

can't see your diary, but if you are always in the negative and working out 7 days a week and only eating 1400 calories a day, my guess is you aren't eating enough. I'm 5'2" and weight #130, work out 6 days a week and try to eat about 1500-1700/day ETA: I was also stuck on the scale for about 3 months. I gained and lost #3…

I have the same one and love it - I got mine from Target

I usually don't like the whites - I'd rather eat the yolks only, but I know that's not the healthiest choice. Recently I tried a whole egg with 2 egg whites (scrambled) and I actually liked it - I think I found a new passion - now . . . what to do with the yolks?

I go to YouTube and I watch videos of others weight loss journey. I watch a lot of videos. I listen to podcasts in my car about weight loss and how to stay motivated. I find that other people's journeys inspire me.

will save for my bedtime :) thanks

Before starting insanity (had just gotten done doing about 12 weeks of some various Jillian Michaels) 4 weeks after starting insanity
-
oops - this one was after starting insanity
-
I just bought a huge bag of kale because it was on sale. Can you eat it like a salad? I thought I read it was bitter? LOL - I never tasted it before
-
I just recently watched a video on Ustream (It was from beachbody.com) and Shaun T. said to take about a 2 week break before starting up Insanity again
-
I have one cup of coffee and then get to my workout. You will actually find you have more energy working out early :)
-
I have 2- a 15 year old and a 4 year old... Both c-sections. I'm 44 This is after 30 day shred and 30 days of extreme shed and shred.

She can CUT the bag open . . . spoon out some of the rice into a bowl on a scale to weigh it - voila - weighed! save what's not eaten for later.
-
this is why you WEIGH food, not measure, unless it's liquid. Food settles, if it was all fluffed up, it'd be a cup, a cup is 8oz on a food scale - measure it out - this is the depressing part about servings it always looks better in the measuring cup, and is way over when you plop it on the scale
-
if there are 9 servings per box and 4 bags . . . and a serving is approximately 1 cup - then there are 2¼ cups per bag

I remember at one of my annual doctor appointments, the doctor informed me I had 'ballooned' up to 125 in a year (gaining #10) - wow, What I wouldn't do to be #125 again :) I'm working my butt off to get there
-
To lose #30 in that amount of time is a great accomplishment! Be proud of your hard work :) As for your SIL - If she's not exercising and not eating right - maybe there's something physically wrong with her? My husband lost about #30 before he found out he had colon cancer! Maybe she needs to be seen by a doctor?
-
just finished day 24 - I feel like vomiting. That's never happened . . .
-
I would imagine you could eat 1800 calories on days you are sedentary (this is still a 500 calorie deficit) and more if you exericse. I was losing and gaining the same #3 for about 3 months. I finally started eating more (consitantly) and started losing weight again.
-
why can't that weight come off of my lower belly?
-
she may be skinny, but probably not 'healthy'.
-
I just finished up week 3 and I am loving it. I feel so much more energetic and have lost about #4 already. I was stuck at the same weight for a few months, so this is a welcome change. Good Luck!
