I am at the same time trying to gain a little muscle by working out .. Although I know that you can't cut and bullk at the same time but being a beginner pardons me to some extent. I think I should get back to this post once I have pictures to upload of my current self. Would give everyone a better reference.

Everyone in my family is a vegan except me..I can't even cook meat in the house..iv lived with this long enough. Veg ain't all that bad. Besides it makes eating non vegan things occasionally much more delightful

Appreciate it..it's just that when I look in the mirror I know I want to get rid of that belly more than I want muscles right now..and bulking would only make it look worse

Yup it seems fine.. It is recommended that you take 1g of protien per lb of body weight..and a little higher around 1.5 if your working out..so even though your protien intake at 176g a day is fine you could up it a little bit.

So what's the solution here..I'm trying to loose belly fat..my current diet consists of 30% protien 20% fats(good) and 50% carbs..I'm just worried that by consuming 50% carbs I might not be giving a chance to my body to use up the fat cells for energy..I am on a 500 deficit though

So then low or no carbs after workout? Would that result in my body using up fat for energy?

I'm not thinking of going low on carbs..maybe get up in the morning have a low carb high protein breakfast then workout. And then later have the usual diet of adequate carbs and other macronutrients

Well I thought if I took in too many carbs then my body would only use that for energy and not burn fat
