I've had those "omg I can't believe I'm wrong" moments so many times. I used to listen to some "nutrition expert" and drank a tea spoon of flaxseed oil daily. little did I know that it's full of bad omega-6 fatty acids :/

Great job! I'm finding too that if I eat clean then I don't have cravings... (that takes initally 1-2 weeks though, the first time I cut sugar out). But once I eat it again and I just want moooore sweet stuff.

I agree that it's not as simple as that. It annoys me when people are very certain of their opinion - but they are actually wrong. Even when you show them other examples that undermine their opinion - they don't want to hear it.

I'm exactly in the same boat. I *know* what I should be eating but I just love Pizza, chocolate and all these delicious foods. I'm trying to do one cheat day per week - and if I have something social I'm trying to use that day as cheat day.

I know how that feels... it's very hard to help family. For some reason they seem to have a hard time taking advice from the people closest to them :(
