  • I'm originally from near Bolton but am down in Surrey these days. Miss being home in the NW though!
  • I've been on and off mfp for ages, back on and hoping to stick with it this time, have sent out some requests but feel free to add me.
  • I registered a few weeks ago but haven't had a Saturday morning off work lately. Am hoping to get out to it in a couple of weeks - ideally as the weather warms up a little.
  • My Mum who is on weight watchers when I say I'm going for a run instead of eating a slice of cake with my brew when I'm visiting her* - "Oh but you'll run it off, like I do in the gym" No mother you do not run in the gym, you walk on the cross trainer and you sit in the sauna - you won't run, as it might hurt your ankles,…
  • Thats great, you're doing alot better than me! 152 11.5 min/mile averages 3.5 miles 41 minutes I've been running the same routes for a couple of months and thats knocked a couple of minutes off my previous best at that route.
  • I'm lucky as I'm the same, no losses but never a gain of more than a couple of oz, I weigh but tend not to record it that week just so I'm aware of the general trend.
  • Hi Emmie, rc'd your request and added you, I've recently moved up to 1480 cals from 1200 but most days still eating around 1200 anyway as it's what I've got used to.
  • I used to work in Camberley so I know Dorking fairly well, am now up near Bolton, much prefer life in the civilised north. ;)
  • I'm from Bolton, looks like there are a few Boltonians about on here.
  • There are a few of us about coming back after a break - sounds like your goals are pretty similar to mine, FR sent and good luck.
  • I'm just finding my way around the forums, usually log on via the app but would love some UK based friends to help keep me motivated, am currently up in the NorthWest in a village outside North Manchester. Feel free to add me.
  • Coming at this from the other side, I split with my long term boyfriend last summer, one of my close friends is still very good friends with him - they quite often take road trips around France and Belgium together - it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I know Simon (our friend) sometimes worries that he talks about my…
  • One reason might be that some of the foods you eat don't have full nutrition information added - member added foods sometimes only have calorie data and nothing in the other fields.
  • I think the problem is the lifestyle - out here on civvie street how many people can possibly understand what it's like to have your partner taken away for 6 or 12 months of the year? How it feels to be told not only where you're moving to but being told exactly what house you'll be living in, regardless of your…
  • The c25k might be worth a look then. Or one I've used in the past but stopped since it didnt suit me was the adidas micoach app on my phone (certainly its free in the UK, am not sure about US availability).
  • Hey I'd like to join too, just finished another challenge a few weeks ago and finding myself slipping without the motivation of having to report in to others.
  • OK so todays the last weigh in for this one, wow where have the last couple of months gone to? I started at 11stone 3lb (157lb), today I weigh 10stone 7lb (147lb) so have lost 10lb since 20th September and only 2lb less than my 12lb target. In addition I've started running again and am actually enjoying it right now,…
  • Gorgeous! I don't think its just the weight loss but you look so much more confident now, not to mention so much younger! Your Marine must be so proud, he's a lucky man.
  • Thanks Jen, sadly it appears that the weight loss is invisible to everyone except the scales, lol. Went to return the keys to my work place to the Guardroom and had a chat with one of the friendlier MPGS guys, who couldn't quite understand why I was in work out gear at 2115..on a cold foggy night like we have here. Still…
  • Well the check weigh in and this weeks planned weigh in have put me back at 153lb, which is absolutely fine by me as it gives me 3lb to lose to hit my target so mke sure I eat well and exersize properly this week and fingers crossed I can make it! Did some overtime today so decided to finally take the plunge and run the…
  • So pleased that you can start working out more again Jen, so frustrating when you can't for whatever reason! Looks like the reading from last weeks weigh in might have been caused by a badly calibrated scale, todays weigh in was at 10 stone 11lb (151lb) and there's not a chance that I've put back on so much (4lb) in a week…
  • I initially started off just eating better, when I came home from my holiday in September I started running again in total I've lost 17lb since April, 9lb of that since I started running again - I don't run alot, 1.5 mile 4 times a week but it's definitely kick started the loss again.
  • Lost another 5lb this week taking me to 10stone 7lb (or 147lb) which is incredible as my target was 10stone 5lb! But I suspect part of that is the difference between the shoes I was wearing this week compared to last - this week it was flipflops to give my heel a rest from having plasters or socks rubbing on the sore part.…
  • Weigh in day today lost another 1lb, so as long as I can stay on track I'll just about make my challenge target. Not been running today as I had errands to run so recorded my walks instead. But the rest of the week I plan to run the long way home from work once and keep plugging away at reducing my time on the short route…
  • Today was my weigh in day - I've managed to lose 3lbs this week! I think it's the running finally starting to make a difference after having put on a little overall since I restarted it a couple of weeks ago. So pleased, as it puts me at a nice round number of 11stone on my print out (154lbs). In the mean time this week…
  • Hi Debbie, I'm running at slightly faster paces on short runs (1-1.5 miles) but only just venturing in to longer routes so expecting my pace to slow right down when I do.
  • Home from a mammoth work shift and taken my measurements, none are showing any loss and one has actually increased by 1 inch, atlhough I expect that has something to do with the fact I just had dinner! Didn't get out for my run today either thanks to the 8 hour extension on what should have been a 5 hour shift, I was…
  • The technology has been fighting against me lately! I think my laptop has finally completely bitten the dust, so have had to unpack a box to find my netbook. Not been losing as much as I would have liked so have upped my target from 1lb per week to 1.5lb for a while, think having to take a little more care about my food…
