Good question. I would say yes, assuming we're not allowed deli meats because of the nitrates. But I could be wrong.
-
Yep, agree with Christine. Protein is definitely a bit high. But your carbs and fat look good. It's much easier to track when you set your macros to match your needs.

First day today. Had my BPC coffee this morning. Then a serving of Macadamia nuts around 10. It's 11:30 and I'm starving. Trying to wait as long as I can until I eat again.
-
I do BPC now most mornings. Two tbls grassfed butter, 2 tbls MCT oil and then blend with a hand beater. So good and creamy. I'm so used to eating protein with most meals that I'll have to just forget about that and pile on the fat. :) Thanks!

I'm starting tomorrow. A little nervous about getting my macros correct though. What do you all typically have for breakfast?
-
Macros should be around 65/25/10 (F/P/C)

Is it too late to join your challenge? I need a kick in the butt!! I would love to be in the 170s by October 1. That would be amazing!! I do a combination of keto/low carb/atkins. Thank you!

Definitely worth a try!! But like the other posters said, make sure you rinse them well and then pan-fry them to dry them out a bit. I use them for stir-fry, veggies, shrimp, a little soy sauce. I've also used them for "spaghetti" and meatballs. Oh so good!! I'll have to try the "mac and cheese" suggestion above!

I like my BodyMedia FIT. Does everything you described. I have a MAC and an Android phone and never had an issue.

Seeing all those carbs on the label is a little scary, but then look at all the fiber!

It's really not a good idea to cut back on vegetables. You need the natural nutrients. Eating 20 net carbs will definitely get you into ketosis. No problem there. Don't sacrifice your health. I really recommend reading the book. You need to eat more too. :) And if you're on Facebook, I also recommend joining the Atkins…
-
Hi there. Because you asked....... Did you read the Atkins book? You are not reaching your minimum of veggie carbs. You hardly eat any veggies at all! And my recommendation would be to eat way more food. Women on Atkins should be eating around 1500 calories. 1000-1200 is way too low.
-
I'm not sure. I haven't started reading it yet. But on the LC forum, I believe they said that the book concentrates more on Protein, lowering Carbs, and less on how much fat you eat. Edit (just read some of the book): It allows you to use your carbs (30 net carbs for Phase I) however you want to. So you could have a slice…

Ok, so if your BMR is 1529, then you should still be losing if you're eating 1700-1800 calories a day and exercising. But keep in mind, if your body is used to 1200 calories and you all of a sudden start eating 1500-1800, you will gain at first. I would slowly add the calories in. Say 100 a day or so. Also, I just found…

Here's a great article on the Fat Fast by Jimmy Moore, one of the big Low Carb gurus. I'm going to read it too. Looks very interesting: http://livinlavidalowcarb.com/blog/fat-fast-for-a-few-days-to-induce-weight-loss/1189

Personally, I think you should be eating more than 1200 calories a day. This is most likely why you are stalling. That fat fast would be a last resort. Are you eating back your exercise calories? If not, your deficit is WAY too severe. What is your BMR? Typically woman doing Atkins eat between 1500-1800 calories per day.

I must be abnormal. LOL. I had 12 oz of coffee this morning with 2 tbls heavy cream and 2 tbls of coconut oil. 3 hours later, I'm starving. I don't understand what everyone is talking about being able to go until at least lunch. Oh well. I guess I'm not that lucky. :grumble:

To get rid of the chewy texture, after you rinse them, you absolutely HAVE to fry them in either a pan spray or an oil for a good 10 minutes.
-
They're not actually "fake". They are either made from tofu or a plant fiber (konnyaku). They help regular blood sugar as well. Regular pasta is not good especially for diabetics and/or folks watching their carb intake.
-
Love them. Here's a link you may want to read: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/667310-let-s-talk-about-shirataki-noodles-the-continuation?hl=shiratki+noodles&page=6#posts-10939262 And the person that said just eat pasta, especially wheat, is wrong. Just sayin'.

My weight has never affected my low BP. It's always been around 100/60 or 90/60. I think everyone is different though. Your light-headedness not eating after a workout could be from lack of food or low blood sugar. If you're concerned, give your doctor a call.
-
Wow. Never heard of getting heavy periods from losing weight. Did she explain how? Have you done any research on your own?
-
I think that it all of a sudden being heavy has nothing to do with your weight loss. I would give a call to your gyno and have them advise you.
-
Low carber (again) here. I know this is the best and healthiest way for me to lose weight. I haven't been consistent with it, but I intend to be! Need more low carb friends too!
-
I would delete the old one and start over.
-
Yes! Me!
-
Why does that bother you??!! Man, some people.

Liked! WTG!
