Squats, squats, squats

I do weight lifting first. I want most of my energy to go to that. Then I do cardio. Weight lifting is more important to me than cardio. I think it depends on what is a priority for you.

Walk, walk, walk. You CAN lose weight and firm up from walking. Also, eat at a deficit. Eat healthy foods that nourish your body. Just think healthy.

This is exactly how I feel. My legs are really restless. Once I have a carb, it stops. So weird.

I think so many of us initially are motivated to lose weight and exercise to look good. We sweat and starve, etc...and get frustrated by our results. However, switch your thinking to doing it to be healthy. You want to feel good, feel happy and be healthy. That should be the real motivation. Think about every step you take…

It will be different for everyone. I really tightened up my eating too. That will make a huge difference.

Once I started back this time 3 weeks ago seriously working out...now. So for me, about 3 weeks.

Calorie deficit and overall conditioning. You cannot spot reduce. My stomach is finally going away and getting tighter. I do HIIT and eat really well and in a deficit. It is finally working. Slow and steady though.

Gloves definitely work!

I always do weights first...I want the bulk of my energy for that...Cardio to burn the rest of my energy out.
-
This is really interesting because my sleep is awful. I definitely do not get 8 hours. Maybe I need to work on my sleep and then I won't be so hungry.

Hi there, I have the same issue. I believe it's diet first and foremost. I am 53. I have had 2 kids. I use to drink tons of wine...Over the years, a pooch developed that no matter what I did, I could not get rid of. After all these years, I have found the solution for me...I gave up wine (so much sugar), I changed my diet,…

I walk every day to the gym, work out and then walk back. It's about a mile and a half each way. My legs are toned from the walking and i burn lots of calories. I don't eat my calories back. So, in my opinion, walking is a great exercise AND it aids in weight loss and overall toning.

Calorie deficit AND exercise will help burn that belly fat. I find that HIIT and weights do the trick pretty well. I had the same problem and have incorporated all and added more protein and my stomach is slowly shrinking. Finally I have found what works for me. Good luck. It does happen.

It depends how badly you want it. If you want it bad enough, you will find time.

I hope this helps you a little...I belonged to a gym but had to quit due to an injury. I just joined back up. It has been about a year. I saw this women the other day whom I had met when i belonged the first time. I did not recognize her. I was like holy crap what did you do? Huge bad I know. Anyway, she looked amazing.…

I have one of those cups with the straw in the lid. I add ice, water and top it off with a little crystal light. Gives me a bit of flavor and the ice cold water is great. I drink tons of water that way.

No, I'm in California. I guess it's not as popular here yet. It's fun, hard but fun.

Sorry, but any diet that makes you "sick" before you feel better makes no sense to me and cannot possibly be good for you.

I am a vegetarian and I love it. The truth is, you do not need any animal protein to survive. You will get all of the protein that you need if you eat a variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and grains. I find it super easy too. Even eating out, you can find things to eat. And...it's less expensive. I have lost…

I like what you said but is it true.? It seems way easier to gain than to lose. I hope you are right.

I had the same problem. I love wine. I ate quite well during the day but then went WAY over my calories at night with wine. I was in an endless cycle. Trying to lose my belly but not wanting to give up my wine. It got so bad that I had to quit...I am alcohol free for almost 3 months. I have dropped about 10 lbs and I feel…

Thank you...lol

I calculated how much I spent on wine each month...about $450.00. That's how much I am now saving. It adds up fast!

Overcoming age and gravity!

Keep it simple...keep meals simple, exercise simple, life simple. When you complicate anything too much, it gets harder to stick with. Whatever that may be.

Good for you! It is a tough choice and dealing with the people around you is not easy. If quitting feels right to you then just do it. It is so much better for your health. You don't need to explain to people any more than that. As far as your husband goes...he may just get on the bandwagon with you if he sees you not…

Yes, I mean consuming more calories...but I think you are right in the density of the food. What she eats is mostly fruits, veggies and grains so I guess it would make sense that she eats more.
