I went mostly vegetarian recently. Made sure I got my greens, ate low carb, stopped drinking wine, etc...I thought I was doing all of the right things. I gained weight instead of lost weight. Now I am back to sensible eating and I feel so much better.

My goal weight has everything to do with health and my waist. Smaller the waist, better on the heart. Simple as that for me.

What do you do for exercise?
-
Well, if I have to be that careful then forget beans. NOT worth it.

OK, then why are they touted as being so good for you when we cannot even digest them???

Try even just a walk a day. Even 30 minutes. start log gin your food and eat as healthy as you can. Once you start noticing a…

My husband and I go to Hawaii a few times a year. Can you say bikinis? That's my motivation. AND...I want to be healthy.

I think it all really depends what your goals are and how bad you want it. In my opinion, drinking derails pretty much everything. I still do it but am cutting way back and would love to stop except I really like wine. I do find that when I don't drink I make much healthier choices on a daily basis and have much more…

Just read an article in a health magazine yesterday...This is just part of it. "Your body sees alcohol as a poison and literally stops all other metabolic processes in rider to remediate and eliminate that alcohol-including fat metabolism..." I enjoy wine...too much but articles like this really make me think...

If you think you might have a problem with alcohol, then you do have a problem with alcohol. I know I do and I need to slow way down or stop all together. I just finished reading the book "The Unexpected Joy of Being Sober" by Catherine Gray. Excellent book. I had stopped for about a year, then decided to try again.…
