I am not eating more than expected. I have had this problem and my doctor doesn't know what to do for me. The people at work don't understand either as I don't eat anything really unhealthy...pizza, chips, cake, dips, etc. I did splurge today and ate 1-1/2 cup of potato soup. For me, that is a splurge. I would normal eat…

Hi back! Coming back too after a little absence. Looking to get motivated again. This site helps but losing weight is a work in progress. Add me if you like.

For your first, I wouldn't worry about a time. It's exciting just to finish. However, be careful, it's easy to start out too fast and pace with the group you are next to. It's okay if you have to walk. When you cross the finish line, it's another type of adrenaline just to say "I did it!"

I work nights and it does play havoc with weight loss. However, I have found it is still best to eat breakfast whatever time that would be for you. Try and put your higher calories and carbs at the start of your day and wean down. This way you can burn it off.

I'm from Central Wisconsin! It's hard to lose weight when the typical Wisconsin food staple is brats, beer and cheese. Add me if you like.

I am more of newer runner. I ran one 5k and looking to add a second this Spring/early summer. Would be nice to have someone more experienced to get tips and advice. Add me if you like.

I am new. Been on for about a week. The support helps. Add me if you like.

Add me too, if you like.

There is always an adjustment when transitioning outdoors. I even ran into hip and joint pain. Best to start on a softer trail, like a gravel path then transition to blacktop then concrete (sidewalk). Don't push, listen to your body.

I'm new here and learning quite a bit. Add me if you like.

I'm a heavier runner and found brooks to work best for me.

I know the feeling. I did really well a year ago, and oops, somehow all the weight I lost found me again. Go ahead and add me if you like. I, too, need all the support I can get. I try to run regularly and trying to get into some weight lifting.

Add me if you like. Always looking for more support.

My goal is 10 lbs this month and continuing to run. Had a bad weekend of overindulgence. Add me if you like.

I hate going to the Y because I get "looks." If you read my profile, you will see I posted: When I get done I want to say to them, "yes the fat lady can run!" There are so many other ways to get in a good work out. I love to snowshoe and hike. I also have a friend and she will get together with a couple of girlfriends and…

I too have struggled with my weight. However, I learned something valuable recently through my work. I am always encouraging my patients not to dwell so much on the whole picture or the long enduring road ahead of them. Instead, celebrate the little things, the littlest of accomplishments. So now I celebrate that I chose a…

Ugh! It seems like every year the "shedding of the pounds" gets harder, but it sure goes on like no tomorrow. Anyway, add me if you like. I, too, could use a lot of support. Good Luck and hope to hear from you.

Feel free to add me, too. My goal is to shed some hefty pounds as well this year.
