So very happy for you! Way to go. That is very inspiring and exciting. You smashed your goal (and I love the slippers too)

Awesome job! You look amazing! But even better is you feel amazing. I honestly look more like the before picture of you at this point, but I’m trying really hard to work on me. I just rejoined the gym. But I have to get over the fear of failing - like you said. I was in good shape my entire life until I had children 15…

Just found out Thursday that I am past perimenopausal and in the full fledged thing. At 41. Damn. Does help explain alot though, for that I am grateful.

I have found the same to be true since having kids (and being 41 now!). If I eat more than 1200 calories a day, I just don't lose. I am short too (5'2") and I see many others around my height have been able to lose on 1200 and stay around that many calories so that is inspiring.

I'm in! Anyone wants to friend me, go for it. I could use the encouragement. Another year, another desire to get healthier. Perhaps this year I'll be successful??

Great job. My hubby was your size when younger (the starting size). He lifted 6 days a week for years and finally had gotten to a place he liked. In his head he sometimes still sees the "skinny kid" so that takes time to get past. Great job sticking to it.

I can completely relate. I've been here since 2011 and go up and down the same 10 pounds (so not very encouraging but that is my own fault). It is definitely harder as we age and put our priorities to kids, home, work. I'm trying to balance and give myself some time so I can get healthier too. agree couch to 5k is a great…

Awesome job. You literally look 10 years younger too!! Gotta love that

Hello all, I am not 50 yet, but hoping to join. Why you ask? I am 41 and have been in peri menopause for 3 years. Many my own age do not understand, as I am on the younger side to be dealing with it. Need a place where others understand, can give advice and inspire. Perhaps I can be an honorary 50 because of this?

Not only do you look amazing, your recommendation to listen to your body is awesome. Congrats!

This is the beat post I have ever read. Thank you for your honesty and opening up that way. It makes so much sense and is so simple. It is all about choices. I have been at both ends (anorexic and overweight/out of control). The choices I made and make every day, that will determine if I lose, gain or stay the same. One…

He sounds like an emotional abuser. He puts you down to try to build himself up. People like him will never be happy or satisfied. You are better off without him. I am sorry if this sounds harsh as I know you are probably hurting but "the more weight I lose, the more mean he is" is a very telling statement. So now that he…

After working out. Probably due to the boost in hormones

Hi girls! I am sorry you are going through this. I have also been having increased anxiety, insecurity, panic when I eat something I deem "too much". I will say that just because you are overweight does not mean it cannot be an eating disorder. Have you ever been in therapy? In my 20's I webt to therapy. My anorexia had…

Shorties unite! Love this post! You all look fabulous and it really helps inspire me too. Starting weight 165 (5'2") and down to 154 right now. Goal is 120-130. Always felt good at that weight. I am excited to have lost and encouraged to continue!

@astgte sounds similar to my goals with the belly

@mikevandewetering from a woman's perspective you look great already!

I would love flat tight abs again (like I had pre-children). OB said that won't happen without surgery due to my muscles separating

False! I've never done drugs.
