no. but if your goals fit with more of one approach versus another, go for it. just be honest with the goals. and after newbie gains go away without dedicated progressive resistance strength training...

love the tone/concern trolling here. "oooh. it's condescending" "oooh you're elitist" really? are you also proud that you have never left the US or can't pick out Iceland on a map, too? really? "elitist"? "oooh, you're not gonna convert anyone". we shouldn't have to. being mindful and polite in a new situation shouldn't…

^ agreed. and another thing to offer: if the WoD is a real ball-buster and is 8 minutes, log the 8 minutes as more intense movement than the warm up, skill, warm down, etc. break it into segments, if you would like that level of tracking. otherwise, what PRM said, totally. ca 10-15 kcal/min under full go :)

chalk this citizen into the "not necessarily a social thing". during the week, food = fuel. and the "angry"response - I think his comment was okay, considering the passive aggressive, "you're not human/social" flavor of comments. just cuz YOU have to be social with food and that YOU have those associations, not everybody…

hahahahahaaha! Havitol is the best. (reference change-- just be careful with Provasic, despite the reassurances of Devlin MacGregor reps) Seriously to TS: bummer. am also on weight-gaining meds (and ones that raise blood glucose, LDL, hammer kidney function, etc. ahhhh what we do to stay alive)... YMMV with these tips and…

do you think the creationists imply "by volume", too? that is the question...
-
"By this definition, everything in the known universe weighs the same. " No. a kilo of everything weighs the same. and i would doubt if "by volume" is at all implied. remember for US Americans, the political system is basically structured around those who think creationism is real

"I do bootcamp so similar to crossfit " "crossfit type of stuff with cardio added " out of curiosity what do you mean by this? I mean that the idea of barbell complexes, kettlebells, bw exercises, and barbell lifts existed long before crossfit and now the word "crossfit" is morphing into something else -- what types of…

that's really tough. it's really hard trying to find the "right" thing to say. But here goes: stressful times and sucky times will come and go. your successes will endure and prevail. you will too. It may not help given the intensity and immediacy of how you're feeling (hrumph), but it is there. Take that thought out when…

it's good for population measures and has shortcomings with individuals. YMMV with it; but there are more accurate measures for the individual.

am one who's not sure about this - I always have to ask. From my competitive swimming days, I'm comfortable with circle swimming (regardless of lane partner's abilities), but still have to ask if they want to do "left side / right side")... what is your pool's ettiquette?
