  • hey Angel where are you from? I'm from Newcastle upon Tyne and know exactly what 'chuffed' means  Good luck on your journey - you can do it
  • Looking back on my stats I plateaued for the whole of April. It is really frustrating, especially when you're 'supposedly' not meant to go through that on this diet. However, guess the fact that we have stuck to it should mean we all get a big pat on the back! I also wasn't able to work out during the whole of April, so…
  • Hi all Been in the zone the last few weeks. Everything going good. Not ready for competition yet though - got a way to go until then :grumble: Good motivation though Agent - go for it
  • Feeling good this week. No idea what week I am on now. I just eat 1000 cals a day have one maintenance day a week of whatever I want and do full body exercises mixing up the programme together with cadio on off days. It is starting to feel like a normal way of life now. Glad you're feeling less yuk Jaiden  Keep up…
  • Sorry I was slow to reply. Yes Dexa scan for me also, although mines is not as good as yours Agent. Well done you! I also think dropping fat when you are already at 26 body fat will be really difficult because you are already low. I'm at 36 - wobble wobble  So easier for me, although a long haul. Jaiden my homones…
  • Well I'm still here. Had a body scan too and although I'd only lost a pound on the scales, I lost 4% body fat and gained 3lb muscle mass.Just goes to show that you can't tell what's going on by normal scales alone. I'm really pleased because I can also be sure that the pound I have lost is a pound of pure fat. Glad it's…
  • Me too!! It's hard to change sabotage habits but the most important thing is you got back on track - yay to you. Let's do it!! :)
  • Yayyy!! Well done you!! It's such an achievement when the middle number goes down :) Keep up the good work you must be very proud of yourself
  • Hi, welcome and good luck. All of the reading material seems a bit daunting at first but it's really easy to follow once you start. I am also 45 and been around a bit so I know how you feel. Fell off the wagon a few times with Venus but back on board and going strong. Good luck with you first day. This group is very…
  • Yayyyyy! go you
  • Yes they seem to but just realised they will to show on my iPhone grr show from the site fine though
  • Just a note on why the scales will not budge even though you've stuck to the plan. I found these on the venus site and found them quite inspirational. I will post the links below. Obviously they will not be live but you could try copying them and pasting into the Venus site worth a try and a read:…

  • well done you!! :flowerforyou:
  • Hi Tresse This is a hard one! There could be numerous choices. You could say that in the early days of 16:8 you could expect a few hunger moments until your body adjusts. You could also say that everyone has times (regardless of how long they have been implementing fasting) when they have hungrier moments. You can do one…
  • Thanks for the motivation. You're a star!! x
  • Well I've had a hard two weeks. I hurt my back and cannot exercise which has led to a spiral of indulgence, which has led to guilt and more back pain! I am not going to weigh myself. Just start again from week six and draw a big line under it. I will not sabotage myself again. Thanks to the posts here too - they help…
  • Hi Brandtsgirl and good luck with your journey ;)
  • Hi sorry for slow reply been away from computer. I hate those weight gain weeks. I find they are not permanent wait three days then weigh again. Remember what the calculator in the VI said about your possible fluctuations. I know mine is +4lbs. I also know when I don't see what I want to see on the scales in can send me…

  • Hi I am here too. I've actually stopped looking though because the group isn't so active. But hey if there's even just three of us that is cool. I am on week 7 although I created and burned big style last week and so I am repeating it again. I have also just injured my shoulder (grr) so I can not exercise either which…

  • I love my flex too. It really does force you to be more active and syncs well with MFP. I use it everyday and hate it when I have to take it off to charge. Must say though, I have a bit of a problem charging it and have to hold it in place with an elastic band but it is a small gripe in comparison to all the things I love…
  • Hi I am in my second week of Venus. Like you I was reluctant to spend money on a programme when I felt like I could write a book on diet and exercise and yet nothing seemed to work. However, I took a shot in the dark and I was unaware of how many cals I was eating in a day. I think I got caught up with the eat what you…
  • Wow five ponds that's great news! Well done! Glad to hear you're not as sore from the exercises too. I have done them twice now and sitting down and stairs are dreaded!! Good luck for week two - onwards and downwards ;)
  • Hi Empress You sound like you're hard at work and doing a good job. I started today although despite my best intentions did not make time for the exercises - grrr - will make time tomorrow! How dis your first week go? ;)
