I am am over in protein almost everyday. My Dr says high protein / low carb / high fiber = heart healthy!! Also I noticed on these days I am not high protein / low carb / high fiber I am tired and feel icky!!

My suggestion is to start fresh, log in everyday & be patient. I started on 3/19 @ 196 lbs I am now @ 174 lbs (I'm 5'4) feeling better than I have in a long time. I feel your pain!! I used to start my walk at 6 in the evening, then 6:45, then 7 now 8 - I just keep hoping I am burning some extra calories with all the effort it's taking in the heat. I live in Dallas, it's not even got really hot here!! Keep up the good work!!

Good For You!! I found that some of the rice cakes are great substitutes for chips!! I gave up Dr. Peppers, whoa it was hard & I really miss them!! I know eveyone tells me to drink diet but they are just not the same. I

Sounds like you have shin splints - ICE, STRETCH, maybe walk for awhile until they feel better.

Mine is open, I never have problems with sodium but sugar is my downfall!! I love anything baked, chocolate, and sweet & YUMMY!! I agree with other, stay away from processed foods or eating out.

Sadly I can't help you, I have been walking 3-3.5 miles a day for 3 months & the main place I see weight loss is in my butt - I had NO BUTT AT ALL when I started!! I need to lose it all in my tummy, guess we all have our major pronlem places!! :bigsmile:

I make a a batch of ceral, nuts & dried fruits divide it into snack size ziplock baggies. The good thing I can keep it in my car, it doesn't melt, spoil or need any real attention. I have the same calorie limit, somedays I do eat my extra calories somedays I don't. My doctor told me not to force myself to eat them but if I am hungry try to eat something non-sugary, such as nuts, cheese, something with protein. So far it's bee working for me. Good Luck on your Progress!!

LOG everything you are eating now then compare the portions and the actual things to what got you to the weight that made you want to make a change. Does that make sense? I did at first. I have a really bad habit of eating too fast. I am trying to eat half my meal then put my fork down and just let my food settle. It has certainly helped when I make myself do that. Good Luck on your progress!!

Lately my comfort has been yard work, I accomplish something also it's good exercise. If you don't have a yard, I have also found cleaning my closet, organizing my dresser, cleaning out cabinets, dancing to music in my living room also help. My doctor pointed out to me as long as I'm eating at least 1200 calories a day if I have extra calories left over at the end of the day those are CALORIES BURNED, not necessarily calories I need to eat. I agree, not enough veggies, too many fast foods or frozen foods; also adding more fruit instead of icecream or desserts. I pretty much eat chicken, ground turkey and once in awhile I eat beef. I am in total agreement of how people "think" they know what is healthy. One suggestion, offer to make a healthy dish for everyone. Share your weight loss sucess with others by "enlisting the" to enjoy the good healthy foods you are eating.

I went through the same thing, still do on occassion......I eat a few almonds, or triscuits, or a 100 calorie pack of something, I even found 100 calorie packs of cheese.
