  • Put a smile on your face. It's like tricking yourself that everything is ok. I always feel conspicuous sitting alone but I try to take the time to be observational.
  • This happens to me more often than I'd like to admit. My brain never stops and I overthink everything. I try to get out of the house, even if it's just to go to a coffee shop to sit for a bit or just walk through Home Depot. As long as I'm around people, although I may not interact, I generally feel a bit better.
  • Pineapple. It was on my pizza. :)
  • I actually thought the same thing when I first saw this chart. I then realized I was looking at the color coding incorrectly. :( I really wanted to be in the healthy range.
  • That article was epic. Thank you.
  • LOL....I am entertained and NOT entertained, all at the same time. Thanks.
  • Why is this in the "Introduce Yourself" section of the boards? I believe you've already introduced yourself to everyone.
  • Ezekiel toast with smoked Gouda along with fresh mango.
  • Please keep in mind, and I don't want to talk for everyone, but I've struggled over the last couple of years with my weight. I'm currently in maintenance and struggling. And will probably continue to struggle. Diuretics can be harmful for you, especially if you're using them in the manner in which you are. They are drugs,…
  • Please remember, just because you may not agree with the advice people are giving, doesn't mean it is not supportive, rude or arrogant. Many people trying to help giving advice have a long history of success which, believe it or not, basically means they know what they are doing.
  • Unfortunately your body needs refueling from exercise and extertion. People are not NUTS about the eating back the exercise calories. They are accurate on that. To the OP, it has been suggested to eat a PORTION of your exercies calories as MFP and many cardio machines are not accurate. The amount is approximately 25%-50%…
  • With your current macro setting, you need 240 calories of protein for your day. Maybe try a baked chicken breast, tuna on your crackers, maybe decrease the amount of bread but add in an extra egg.
  • Believe it or not, I'm sure quite a few of us have felt that way. For some reason, when I'm having huge amounts of stress at work, I don't go to the gym during that time. It generally lasts a week at a time. Then I dust myself off and get back at it. Honestly, this happens to me about every 4-5 months. And you know what?…
  • Ten pounds will not come back over night. Just log it, move on. Enjoy life. I am glad you're in therapy. I'm hoping you'll take full advantage of the help.
  • She hasn't been back to MFP since the day after the OP. It probably didn't go the way she had expected and left.
  • I just went back to review the OP. It doesn't say what your daily calories are. Can you let us know? That may help.
  • But what if you WANT one? And I mean you really, really want one. What then?
  • It will be the best $15-$20 you'll spend. I wouldn't have been able to know how much I was eating without it and I lost over 45 pounds by weighing everything. Please be sure to weigh even the prepackaged food. There may be a bit of give or take on the amount in the package than what was listed on the nutrition facts given…
  • I've read a bunch of thread about people who "eat clean" (whatever that TRULY means) who don't lose weight so your point may be lost.
  • I literally laughed out loud with that statement! This is so true! The furry beasts are quite content when I come home from shopping at Aldi.
  • Can you please link the study from a reputable source in which a scientific study has occurred pertaining to the health issues of eating chips?
  • Once I tried to make homemade kale chips. They were not to my tasting but everyone likes something different. One good thing is that I wasted about $3 giving it a whirl & about 15 minutes in the kitchen. I feel it was a fair experiment to find out that I DIDN'T like it.
  • Me too. I'm saving if for tomorrow morning. I also watch "After the Black". I really like those talk shows afterwards breaking down and talking about the last episode.
  • I buy a big bag of whatever chip I want. Bring the big bag home and weight an individual portion into ziplog bags. It's already pre-portioned and ready to go. And yes, I log it and I do stop at one bag....but it has satisfied my chip cravings.
  • I love OB.....I started it on Amazon Prime last spring and got through 3 season in 2 weekends. :/ I don't have much of a life.
  • This was an AWESOME post and thanks for sharing. Anything written by Side Steel is always spot on.
  • I generally try to watch your weekly grocery flyers while planning my meals for the week. I also buy my meat when it's on sale or marked down and freeze it. I plan most of my meals around what is in my freezer.
  • I am amazed at how many of us are logically flawed. Also, is this anti-craving you've been having......has this been happening just today? I'm asking because by looking at your food diary it doesn't seem to be the case.
  • My mom was NOT a good cook, let alone dealing with comfort food. However there are TWO items that sort of stand out in my mind. - Vegetable Beef Soup with homemade dumplings - whenever I go home to visit we make this together still using the same wooden spoon my great-grandmother used to make the same soup. I can't seem to…
  • Very good point @amusedmonkey. It's nice to hear it is not uncommon. Sometimes you don't know if this is common or not without asking the question. And I'm so glad people have taken the time to respond. I don't plan on giving up lifting as I absolutely love it and what it's doing to/for me so I'm trying to figure out my…
