Sometimes a substitute is a substitute is a substitute. It is not a logically flawed argument as anything can become an obsession.

@MsBuzzkillington You are my hero. Thank you for pointing out the obvious that I, obviously, didn't pick up on. I just ran my stats through www.iifym.com and I am below my calories by 200-400 calories a day, depending on the intensity of my workout. I am going to watch this more carefully. Thank you.

Wow. I don't know what my TDEE is on workout days. This just blew my mind that I had never thought of that. I'll check it out. And I believe I am getting enough fats. I have my macros set at 35/35/30 while I generally meet those. Thank you for this......

Breakfast #1: Cereal with almond milk along with a protein shake Breakfast #2: Either a 3 egg omelet ( 1 egg with the balance being egg substitute) with a meat (turkey sausage or bacon), veggies, & cheese

That is on the menu this evening but with Blue Cheese and it will not be quite 24 oz. Don't quite have the calorie allotment for that today. I am really looking forward to it.

Deleted as I misread a posting. My bad. :s

Really, it is the excess calories that make people gain weight. Fat is a wonderful satisfying macro nutrient that we all need for normal bodily functions. Please do not be scared of fat. And honestly, you're not dumb. I'm thinking you just need a bit of direction. http://www.skinnytaste.com/ This is a website I like for…

You keep mentioning that you don't know what to eat. Many people have mentioned it's not WHAT you eat but the CALORIES that will cause you to lose weight. I feel that you want people to tell you what to do/eat but the only person who can decide that is YOU. If you have pot noodles, eat pot noodles. Just log them…

Maybe the people who you bump into that you know would be able to help you out? Maybe workout with them or ask for tips?

Great to hear you like pretty much everything. You'd got so much good stuff to choose from!! Believe it or not, I was just reading this article just a few minutes ago. I thought you may like it since it give some "easy" food items along with a grocery list "outline". Honestly, this may be a good place to start and add…

Honestly, it doesn't matter what you eat, it's how much. East the same stuff that you like but keep it within your calorie limits. There really isn't a specific food you should or should not eat. It's all about moderation. Honestly, I have lost 60 pounds but eating McDonalds, chips, and soda. Along with that I also had…

What is it that you like to eat? Is there any reason to stay away from any type of food? The reason why I'm asking is that your question is quite broad. I'm just trying to narrow it down a bit.

I am all about this!!! And throw in a baked chicken breast, cooked in just about any fashion, and I am in HEAVEN!

Pertaining to "what do you wear"....and yes, I am a female.....it's all pretty simple. It yoga style bottoms with a tank top. As long as I have freedom to move. I lift while I do a negligible amount of cardio. I learned the machines and free weights but getting a trainer for a short period of time. I also read A LOT and…

I use Bodyspace, which is an app through Bodybuilding.com. This really is for weight training, primarily, but it gives you template of things to do on a specific day. Easy to track the weight lifted and reps to be able to push forward and grow.

I am not sure who is telling you what to and what not to eat but there have been quite of few responses from people who really know their stuff. And it truly is about calories in vs calories out. I eat cookies, candies, chips AND fruits and veggies. It's all about moderation.

@NorthCascades ...... what type of watch do you have?

I'm the same. I'm a lefty but my right side has more definition.

When you start to see some results, this will be the motivator. You'll want to keep doing more just to see where you can take yourself. They say it takes 21 days to form a new "habit". Keep pushing yourself to that point.

Could not agree more!!! I had a great recipe for marinated green beans I wanted to get to over the weekend. I also have 29 pages of recipes. Didn't find it. BOO! :s

Zucchini and peppers. I'm eating some at this exact moment.

Camel? Really? I don't think I have ever seen camel offered at any of my grocery stores.
-
I think I started to change "mentally" was when I actually started to see the weigh coming off while still eating what I generally did, just less of of it while also becoming more aware of what a portion actually is.
-
You know, I have only ever eaten low fat cottage cheese so I don't even have a comparison in my mind. To me, it tastes just fine. Maybe I should venture out of my comfort zone.

It seems as if you may be interested in "freezer crockpot meals". It works well with buying in bulk while also assembling multiple meals at one time for an extended period of time. You can also mix-and-match as to meet your needs and those of your family. Here are couple of links that may interest you:…

One of my favorites has 3 ingredients: - chicken breast - can of Rotel - cheese (I've generally used Laughing Cow) Once chicken is done, shred!

Hate to say it but the person who responded with the height is not the OP. We still don't know the height of the OP.

@Racheldasilva174 You seem to start quite a few threads about your interaction and adverse reaction to food/consumption. You may want to have a deep heart-to-heart talk with yourself about your relationship with food.

Many people who use this app/service have lost weight by eating more than 50g of carbs a day. Please share your sources.

I involuntarily had an "Mmmmmm......that sounds good" moment. Plum and pear. :)
