  • I have used the app and it was a great way to get in the habit of working out. I tried to do three rounds each time though. The key, I believe, is to go at the absolute maximum intensity you can muster while maintaining proper form.
  • I haven't read through the thread yet, but I have seen amazing results using Braggs to cure warts! Completely painless and fast. Just pull the cotton off the end of a q-tip and soak it in the vinegar, then affix to the wart with a bandaid. Change once a day, and the wart just puffs up and lifts off and leaves nice clear…

  • Sorry, I just reread this thread and the answers are all here! (Just had to get away from the kids to focus) Thank you!
  • Can someone please clarify what I think I am hearing here? That one should continue to focus on losing weight until happy with their body fat %, and then focus on slightly above maintenance to develop muscle mass? Or if I'm within 10 lbs of being totally lean would it be advisable to work on muscle now and worry about the…
  • I think that is a really nice idea. I'm not so skilled with needle and thread, but just want to commend your helping attitude!
  • How inspirational! I have noticed that you give a lot of great advise in the forums. Thank you for passing on your wisdom, and for this great success story!
  • I have done a "juice diet" in the past, and I did lose weight, BUT 1) I put it all back on and then some within a few weeks. I also felt that I "knew" I could maintain once I got my weight down (I was wrong). 2) It cost a LOT of money, and I had to go shopping every few days because the fridge can only hold so much…

  • I think learning to forgive myself for over-eating "episodes" and being able to start fresh without guilt has made a big difference as far as sticking with this new lifestyle. With persistence and practice, those episodes have gotten further and further apart. When you do made a good meal choice or avoid some temptation,…
  • All my workouts are at home. I just downloaded the app You Are Your Own Gym, it is quite challenging for me and I consider myself just above a beginner level in fitness. What I love about it is you don't need equipment! I've also done a lot of Jillian Michaels's DVDs with ok results, but they are getting old for me. Also…
  • I am feeling smug about my weight, but still definitely whiny about my body composition! The task of muscle building is pretty daunting, but I am looking forward to a shift in focus :)
  • It's kinda funny which items get demonized and banned in different places. Americans aren't allowed Kinder eggs anymore, and Canadians can't buy walkers. It's a miracle any of us survived to adulthood.
  • Hee hee! Love the last two quotes.
  • I had just ONE ingredient left to add to my recipe before finishing the entry and figuring out calories per serving when it shut down... So I must wait to see if I can have another cookie ;)
  • Amazing transformation! I am also curious what your height is and would love to hear more about how you did it, if you don't mind :)
  • 01 - 45 min (40 min Zumba, 5 min abs) 02 - rest day 03 - 55 min (30DS levels 2+3, 15 min Zumba) 04 - 48 min (fitnessblender cardio pilates + pilates videos) 05 - 48 min (44 min Bollywood dance DVD, 4 min cardio challenge) 06 - 39 min (35 barre, 4 cardio challenge) 07 - not my rest day, but I will skip my usual rest day on…
  • Looky looky we are darn close to twins! And I am Canadian :) Age: 29 Height: 5'7.5 HW: ~160 CW: 133 GW: 130? not really sure, I'm aiming for a change when I look in the mirror :)
  • Oh jobell, I can SO relate with the cocktail temptation! And with having to deal with personal struggles - cudos to you for making it back here :) Kathryn really boosted me the other day with "To succeed, you only have to get up one more time than you fall down"
  • 01 - 45 min (40 min Zumba, 5 min abs) 02 - rest day 03 - 55 min (30DS levels 2+3, 15 min Zumba) 04 - 48 min (fitnessblender cardio pilates + pilates videos) 05 - 48 (44 min Bollywood dance DVD, 4 min cardio challenge) 1244 min remaining
  • Love these! So encouraging. I can do 'real' pushups! And I have caught myself doing more physical chores, like shoveling snow. A month ago you could not have paid me to shovel, unless perhaps if we were trapped and I actually HAD to :)
  • 01 - 45 min 02 - rest day 03 - 55 min 04 - 48 min (fitnessblender cardio pilates + pilates videos) 1292 remaining
  • You've got me thinking about lent now, too! I am considering giving up potatoes. Or maybe alcohol. Going to keep thinking on it tonight, because I don't want to make too many commitments to changes and then burn out trying to fulfill them all :)
  • 01 - 45 min 02 - rest day 03 - 55 min (30DS levels 2+3, 15 min zumba) 1340 remaining
  • Glad you are seeing success Kathryn! And congrats to everyone else excited about today's weigh-in. If anyone is less than thrilled with their results thus week, i can relate! I was expecting it wouldn't be pretty, because while I did great with exercise, I did awful with my diet last week. My measurements are unchanged,…
  • I made last week's exercise goal of 2000 calories! (2329 according to MFP) I had to throw in one extra workout, plus I entered some time for housecleaning, which I don't usually do, but I was really working hard doing some scrubbing in preparation for company! :) I have been working on the JMBR program, but unfortunately I…
  • All of your results have been very inspirational to me! Anyone else want to share? :)
  • I saw this challenge when I joined MFP in Feb, and I have been excited to join in for March! 01 - 45 min (40 Zumba and 5 abs)
  • Here is my progress! Funny my lopsided thighs seem to be evening up, I gained in the smaller one! They look better to me so I am surprised, but maybe it's just less fat and more muscle, which is what I'm trying for :) Weight: 132 lbs (-2) Bust: 35 " Waist: 29.75 (-.25) Hips: 37 (-.5) Thighs: 22 (+.5) and 22.5 Arms: 11 and…
