I'm following a discussion on the success stories board, and a couple people have commented
about how expensive it is to keep getting new clothes as they lose weight, because their old
ones are too large, falling off, etc.
I'll offer to help people in the Milwaukee, WI (MKE) area by meeting with you & taking in your
pants, shorts, skirts, and I'm even willing to take a shot at shirts, but that's a little harder. Bras
can have the band taken in, but the cup might not be the right size after you lose weight.
I'll bring my machine & thread, you come up with a place to meet, where you can try on the clothes.
A little something toward gas money & supply costs would be nice, but is not absolutely necessary.
(Compare how much it costs to replace clothes, and how much it would cost to go to a tailor shop.)
So how 'bout it, folks? How many other sewists do we have who would help people in their area?
Sound off here, and if you need help, PM the person in your area.

I think that is a really nice idea. I'm not so skilled with needle and thread, but just want to commend your helping attitude!0

Love the offer to help!
I'm a complete beginner but I've been trying to teach myself how to do basic alterations, and I've taken in a couple of things. I can't make the same offer for people in my area (seriously, TOTAL beginnerist of beginners here) but I love the spirit of it.0
