I've been maintaining about 2 years now. I actually don't find it to be too hard, much easier than weight loss. I find my motivation is a lot less now since I don't have a "goal." I've been trying to make other goals to set for myself to help motivate me to keep going. Things like running a faster mile or squatting…

Log everything I eat, lift weights, try to be active on my lunch break (go for a walk). The most important thing for me is food. I bring 4-5 things to eat and schedule them throughout the day so I'm not stopping at the vending machines or starving when I get home

Fruit (bananas, apples, oranges), protein bars, nuts, greek yogurt if you have a mini fridge, you could make your own trail mix, hummus and veggies again if you have your own fridge

Im 125 (ish) and happy here. I fluctuate between 124-126. Mostly looking to add a little muscle now.

The only way to reduce it is to lose weight overall. Additionally, consider heavy lifting.

I like the veggie delite with all the vegetables, lite mayo and mustard and then salt and pepper. So good!!!

If it's not intentional exercise for me, I don't log it.

Most people I know, including myself, gained weight. I ate horribly and drank 5 nights a week. It isn't hard to stay fit.. you just need to be motivated. Still count calories, try to make sensible choices at the cafeteria/dining halls. Students have access to the school's gym- use it. On days you cant make it, do something…

This. Just because you "eat right", you aren't necessarily eating at a deficit. If you want to lose weight, you need to count calories. End of story.

I've done both (30 day shred and insanity) and honestly, there is no preparing for insanity. I consider myself to be in pretty decent shape and insanity kicks me a** EVERY TIME.

Welcome! You can definitely do this! Look through the boards a bit and try to find some of the introductory posts, they are really helpful. Also, don't try to do too much too soon, that seems to be what gets people into trouble (in terms of abandoning the "diet"). Still eat things you like, try to add in extra movement as…

I changed my calories to maintenance and it gave me around 1700-1800. I was still losing weight on that so I had to up it again to about 1950. 1200 net calories is not maintaining weight and you certainly won't be able to put on muscle. If you aren't trying to lose.. up the calories. You aren't going to put it all back on…

I've tried quite a few Jillian Michaels DVD's and the ones I like are- no more trouble zones, extreme shed and shred, banish fat boost metabolism, ripped in 30, and 6 week 6 pack. I've also really enjoyed the insanity and P90X programs. I'm really into the daily hiit (www.dailyhiit.com) for free HIIT workouts. They do…

I also use the dubstep station on pandora.

2nd this. I absolutely loved it when I did it last year. I had to quit b/c it was too much money each month.. but I want to start back up again ASAP.

You can friend me :) I'm on every day, I log my calories most days and comment almost every day.

Yep.

4-5 usually. 3 days of heavy lifting and then 1 or 2 days of cardio.
-
LOL bascally this
-
Wow! You look amazing! Congratulations!!

When I reached my goal I bought myself some equipment for home.. so I could do heavy lifting in my basement instead of having to go to the gym and wait to use machines. Also some new workout clothes.
-
Can't you just run outside? That's the beauty of running, it can literally be done anywhere. Also, you could do workouts tape or HIIT in your home?

^ this is what I have. I also have a few dumbbells - 10, 15, 20, 25, a box/step and a exercise ball.
-
The less weight I had to lose the harder it became. I had to watch my calories a lot more closely and eat less to still lose.
-
Yep. Started at 140 wanted to be 130.. hated the way I looked so went down to 125, then 121. I felt like I still didn't look as good as I thought I would. I started heavy lifting and haven't looked back. I weigh around 125 now, but I look better at this weight than I did at 121.

After a certain point, I have routine things I eat day-to-day. I know a lot of the protein counts and around what calories I'm eating as well as what a single portion looks like. I like having the macros in here though so I can look through past days/weeks/months and see if I've been following. I think if you aren't trying…

How on earth can you eat 3 full meals, dessert and 2 snacks and be under 800 calories? Healthier foods to eat that have some decent calories in them- eggs, avocado, nuts, fruit, protein bars, peanut butter. Try making food in coconut oil/olive oil or butter for extra calories too.
