Yep. I was hoping to lose a little bit but surprisingly thats the one place I lost nothing from. Not even my back size changed lol. I guess I'm doomed to have a bad back for life.

Not at all. My cravings have nothing to do with quality ingredients lol. I will eat a hot dog any day of the week. I had a big mac last night.. it was delicious.

Pretty sure you already know you shouldn't be sticking to 800 calories. I would eat the full 1963. I've done insanity (and p90x and nrolfw and all the other trendy workouts), and you really do need the calories. You might lose on 800 but it's not sustainable and you will gain it back.. I guarantee it. I can make a protein…

I would lift heavy
-
I try to do 2 days of cardio in addition to 3 days of NROLFW. I usually do a spin class every week and then either running, insanity or a jillian michaels DVD on the other day.

Same

I'm not sure if it's weird but I love ranch and pretty much anything- pizza, pasta, chicken, on a sandwich, with burgers, fries, chips, pretzels.

I started with 15 lbs to lose. it maybe isn't as common, but there are plenty of people just looking to slim down a little or feel/look healthier. Just do what is best for you. As long as you're doing this in a healthy way, I say go for it and ignore the criticism.
-
Openining your diary would be healpful so we can take a look at what you're doing. Sounds like you're underestimating calories though.
-
As long as you're hitting your calories for the day.. I don't see a problem with it. I can't work out on a full stomach either, so if I work out in the AM (on wknds) I do it before breakfast.

I don't think I understand.. how is anyone bringing others down by their failure to eat well? You do realize that many people here have an unhealthy relationship with food, correct? It isn't that easy to just "suck it up." There is a very unhealthy mentality around dieting, however. People try to restrict so much that they…

I use protein powder, greek yogurt and 2% milk and then sometimes fruit if the greek yogurt is vanilla flavored. It is usually around 400 calories and 40-45 ish grams of protein.

Have you thought about lifting heavy? That's the perfect exercise for changing body composition.. I have weighed less and fit into bigger sized pants before weight lifting. You'd definitely need to up your calories though to do this.
-
Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I will definitely be keeping my eye out for some of these.

Salt mostly. I love chips/cheese crackers/goldfish.. anything super salty. Those snack factory flavored pretzels are right up there as well. Also.. candy- skittles, swedish fish, gummy bears. UGH this is just making me hungry lol.

^^^ this. couldn't have said it better myself.

Thank you :) I'm from Chicago so finding caribou shouldn't be an issue!

Best advice I can give you is to still watch what you eat and log everything as best you can. I would get fried foods all the time and then get snacks from the cafeteria for class that were not good for you: candy, chips, etc. Just keep logging everything, try and make healthier choices especially during the week days…

I wanted to join! Unfortunately I only lost 15 lbs and have been maintaining for 2 yrs.

ME! I started dieting in January 2011 and hit my goal weight around May of that year. I decided to slightly lower my goal weight and hit that some time last year, so I've been in maintenance on and off for about 2 years. It's mostly a lot of intuitive eating for me now.. listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry. I still…

This happens to me too.. I wish I knew the explanation. I've noticed that calorie cycling was really helpful for me when I hit a plateau.. maybe something along those lines?

- keurig, new ipad, nice iphone speakers, gym equipment (squat rack, new barbells, etc.), workout clothes, new gym shoes, massage/facial, heart rate monitor, spray tan, perfume, jewelry...

Same.

Absolutely.

You're not eating enough- you definitely need to eat back your workout calories. Also, you're not gaining muscle on a calorie deficit. Most likely you're retaining water from working out since you started back up again. If you're not hungry from working out- try eating more calorie dense food to make up for the extra…
-
If you open your diary so we can take a look at your food log that might help. Also, a lot of people retain water when they start working out.. so most likely you have gained water weight and not actual fat.

I wore too small clothes bc I had gained weight and my clothes no longer fit me the way they should. Also, the way my body is I gain weight right in that muffin top area. I knew the clothes didn't look great on, but there wasn't a whole lot I could do about it besides slowly losing the weight.

I'm not trying to be mean to you. I'm trying to show you that you have defended your boyfriend against everything everyone has said here. What he is doing is not respectful of you or your relationship.
-
If you want to rationalize your BF being disrespectful to you, then why bother posting at all? What he is doing is disrespectful. Period. Either you don't care and allow it, or you speak up and tell him it bothers you/makes you insecure/hurts your feelings. If he doesn't stop.. that should be a sign to you.
