Oh my. This is not what I wanted to hear. I leave for a cruise in 13 days, and time is limited for the next few weeks. Sigh.

I love your posts! I have done C25K. Twice. The first time, I was 234 lbs, so I know it is definitely do-able when you are overweight. Your goals are fantastic. I had done similar. I added another shortly after starting when I realized I was running w a grimace on my face. When I made a conscious effort to wipe that look…

LOL, I can never understand how people can read or watch TV on the treadmill. I just can't concentrate enough for that. All I do is pop on the tunes (I have a RUN playlist on my iPhone) and zone out.

The zombies really made it crazy/nuts/fun. I'll do it again next year - they have 2 in my state, and I'm planning on doing both!
-
LMAO! The ZMR was lots of fun. It's done all over the East coast - just google Zombie Mud Run. There is only 1 more in PR in 2 weeks for this year, but you can see where they ran over the past year - they'll have it in the same places next year when the schedule comes out.

Running. No advanced planning necessary, just a pair of shoes and outside!

I survived - had 1 flag left. I should have had 2 left, but when 1 of the zombies got to me inside a tunnel, she grabbed and got 2 flags in 1 swipe. I had nowhere to go. My team all got medals that say "survived." And mud in places that I didn't know mud could be.

Rescue Me. I miss it so.

Okay then. Tell me what made you start losing weight. I mean...that very day that you started. You know what I'm talking about. What got you there? And what did you do that day? And how have you lost 162 lbs? That's amazing, dude.

I guess I should come up with something better for the "ask anything" question. Hmmm.

What is pi written out to 100 digits?

I count stairs as I climb them. Every one of 'em.

Terrapin - No, toes do not go numb while walking. I can walk and walk, have no problems. If I tie the right show exactly the same way, but then run, they go numb. Just the outer 3 toes, so (knowing anatomy), it seems like a nerve thing. I have to tie my right shoe insanely loose to avoid the numbness. JoRocka - Thanks! I…

Kohl's. I love their exercise department. Sizes are good, prices are reasonable.

Sounds like you need to figure this one out for yourself. Try not counting & just eat healthy. If you lose weight, it works for you. If it doesn't, then you probably need to count. For me? I need to count.

I can feel your happiness oozing through your post - congratulations!

HRM's are accurate only for cardio exercise. They are not accurate to gauge calorie expenditure for non-cardio activities.

I accept every friend request. But I do feel free to delete liberally, especially when all I see are posts about sex.

First of all...weight loss is crazy fast in the first few weeks. Then it's down to the nitty gritty. So what you were doing when you started was good enough then. It's not now. Second...you're not drinking 700 calories in coffee a day. You're drinking 700 calories in the sweets & cream that is added to your coffee each…

I was recently diagnosed with asthma. And seasonal allergies. I've probably had it my whole life, but never diagnosed. I'm in NJ, and my doctor told me that with all the snow we had, this tree pollen season will be awful. I'm taking Singulair (prescription) daily to avoid exercise-induced asthma, and daily Allegra (OTC) to…

Food doesn't provide guaranteed comfort. It's only a minor, fleeting moment of satisfaction. Once you come to grips with that fact, REALLY understand it, you'll be light years toward success. My emotional eating came in 2 forms: first, the did-I-really-just-eat-all-that eating. The times when I realize I just put down…

Welcome! I've got one thing on my bucket list...and that is to get to Queensland some day. :-)
