Are you measuring yourself? Do your clothes fit any differently? Sometimes we can't always see what's happening, either on the scale or in the mirror. The measuring tape don't lie!

It depends on what you're doing. When I started on here it was advised I go on 1200 cals per day. I'm 5' 4" and already within a healthy weight range. 1200 is so close to my BMR, it felt like an uphill struggle. Because I was a bit out of shape it was OK at first, but as I did higher intensity workouts I found my…

If you keep on working hard you're going to look fantastic on your wedding day, no matter what the size of your dress is.

Once a week at the same time, butt nekkid.

Me too! Me too! I may have found my weight loss twin! Also 5' 4", SW: 135lbs. I was aiming for 115lbs, but since I'll be adding weightier muscle with my heavy lifting I have no idea what weight is 'right' for me. Now aiming for 20% body fat (am currently around 25%).

http://www.doyogawithme.com/ is fantastic. You can search by time, style and difficulty. It's all there. I've found the Hips Hamstrings and Lower Back rather incredible. There's even one just for feet!

Last week I became a genuine UK size 10 on the bottom half (US 6) and my pants of the US and the UK kind fit as intended to. This week though... At my mum's place there is a very old measurements chart I had on the wall from when I first joined a gym over 10 years ago. My thighs were then 22.5 inches. Drum roll... Today, I…

You might be better off asking in the Fitness forum. Depends on what you're using it for. If it's just to log sets and reps then a pen and paper is all you need. There's also an apps tab here (above), and I remember checking out some workout apps when I first signed up.

Friend requested! I'm going to update everything tomorrow. With the NROLFW calculations I'll be at 1661 cals per day on rest days and 1906 on workout days. Yum!

*bump*

I'm starting out too, and I work out at home. I also use Daily Burn's online tomorrow, and I'll be starting a kettlebell programme as of tomorrow before I move on to using my partner's neglected weight set (if I can figure out how to use the damn bench). I'm using 5lbs at the moment - quite pathetic! I also read The New…

SQUATS! Lots and lots of them!

Well done!

No movement on the scale this week, BUT... lost an inch off my waist, abdomen, hips and bust, so something's going on!

^THIS, and osteopath, please OP. The cracking noise is just the sound of nitrogen being released from the joint so don't worry about that too much! Most likely what's happening is the muscles around those joints are going into spasm, causing immobilisation in the joint. An osteopath would be able to diagnose this for you…

Not only did I fit into my jeans better, but I was able to eat out with friends without having to sneakily undo my top button!

But would you do it in a group?

Kate... bit worried about you. Want to explain that song lyric on your profile pic or do you want me to ask you if you're pro-ana straight out?
-
If you've got as much as 80lbs to lose you need to take it slower than jumping straight into 1200 cals per day. No wonder you're hungry! Could you open your diary, please? Also, are you exercising? If you give us some more detail perhaps we'll be able to help you...

Thanks for your response! No, I have a good idea of how to eat healthily e.g. fruit and veg - and I'm not struggling to keep my calories down or anything... I'm just curious. I cook a lot and I love my food so my meals have to be tasty. A great salad can easily be ruined by a low-fat dressing. What I meant (let's say in…

Thanks, Rainbow! Great job to you - just look at your profile pic!

Oh yes I did. Daily Burn Cardio Sculpt with two 750ml water bottles as weights. 31 (girly) push ups, up from 28 last time.
-
If I didn't log my results I would've gone over by about 700 cals at my Mum's last night!

'In general' is 2 days per week?
-
So you're saying no one posting on here does.... What are these 'double standards' you seem so keen to impress on us in so many threads?
-
Why are you posting the same questions on so many different threads? Find me a MFP member who's averaging 1000 cals per day on 5:2 and I will show you a double standard. Also, you're on the maintenance forums - people here don't want to lose weight.

I'm so glad you've got friends that support your claims. Perhaps you want to talk to them, as you're not going to get the approval you want here, no matter how much you spam the message boards.
