Yes. Start by giving up say those 3 sodas you have daily. Master that and add an extra veg. Log faithfully, even if you are stuffing french fries because MFP teaches you healthy eating. I noticed that I consume T rex portions of salt. Eventually you will eat for strength (diet), movement, rest and destress down.

Another thing you can do is treat yourself healthily. My mom lives 200 miles away and I like to take her out when I visit. She likes lamb chops at the Chinese place, so i PLAN to take her there and eat their most healthy item, which is probably egg drop soup. Advice? This enables me to go to my favorite pizza joint.

KarrieOuchas, can you run on a mini trampoline aka rebounder? Jumping up and down is supposed to circulate your lymph fluid and be really good for you. Can you swim, bicycle, yoga, Tai chi, belly dance, ballet and other non pounding exercises. I have 30% disbaled feet from the USAF and these work for me.

Whenever you change your diet (reduce carbs, sugar, caffeine, etc.) you can expect change in your body such as headaches, diarrhea, etc. It's kind of like changing the thermostat in a cold room. The heater is going to have to work for a while before it gets to the new temperature.

Obviously people should treat others with kindly, but accepting any unhealthy lifestyle such as shooting heroin, speeding, obesity, etc is neither loving, wise or courageous. However people already know that they are over fat.
