Make sure you mix up your workout. Varying the type of exercise keeps your muscles guessing and I've heard is better for you. It also gives you different days to look forward to.

I exercise 7 days/week - but mix it up. Swimming 3 mornings, gym & weights 2 mornings, racquetball 1 morning and 1 evening, and biking 1 morning. It's been working for me, but as I get closer to my goal, I'm thinking about taking that one day of rest advice.

My doc just took me off my cholesterol medicine and I narrowly avoided being put on blood pressure meds. I did it by dropping foods with too much sodium, avoiding fried foods, eating more fruits and veggies, and switched to oatmeal every morning for breakfast. Best of luck to you - it's not that hard!!

Congratulations, Sean. Keep up the great work. I too am skinnier and healthier than I was in High School and in a smaller pants size than when I was in college. Down from 273+ to 203 and heading to 195. I was a beer drinker in high school and it really caught up with me during and after college.

Thank you all!

I'm big on stacking on the Nantucket Blend from Sam's Club (Almonds, dried berries, and pistachios - unsalted). Not filling, but uses up calories nicely.

Swimming and biking are fantastic burns!

Thank you all for the kind words! :D

Not sure why photos are showing up here. Ideas?

Have you tried working out first thing in the morning? I used to be tired during the day, but not since starting the AM routine! I usually have to rub the sleep from my eyes, but once I'm at the gym, it's easy.

I've had relatives say I'm losing too much as well, but they're changing their tune when I explain how I going about things the right way and that my Blood Pressure in normal for the first time in years. Stick to your guns!

It's ok to have a free (cheat) day, but that means on your calorie intake, not on ignoring it on MFP. I agree that you can enjoy your day, but still keep track of it.

I drink several cups of coffee a day and it's not affecting my loss.

I've been trying to avoid Gatorade due to calories and sodium, but may consider smaller bottles or additive to water. Thanks again!
