Me too - I live in Ireland. The only people who carry guns here are the ones who are heading for prison anyway. I lived in the countryside here for 5 years and didn't encounder any axe wielding maniacs/rapists/general thugs Ireland may have its problems, but guns .... no....

I know the machines in my gym ask me for basic info (age for the HR and weight) and to be honest a 15 minute brisk walk would come in about 67 cals. So I'm guessing that is per machine? 200 cals in total for your 45mins? Doen't sound like a lot but I find MFP far more generous for the exercises than reality is...

I drink 1-2 cans of diet coke daily - but only ever with a meal. So I'm hoping that insulin is being used up and not lurkng about to bite my (skinny!) *kitten* in a few decades!

I'm glad I read this, I thought I was 'going through' my shoes too quickly but I'd walk/run 4kms daily so 5-6 months really is all I should be getting out of them. Phew! :happy:

The medication they give is just a hormone (same idea as HRT treatment) It replaces the hormones your thyroid isn't making/not making enough of. Very common for women, pill is very safe, its just iodine basically as far as I know. It doesn't do anything else, it just acts the same as the stuff your body should be making

Better than a gain right? Stick with it. My pattern recently has been week 1 : (weight) Week 2 : (weight + half a pound) Week 3 : 2-3lbs off. And then it happens again. We are all different, its very early days and if you stick with the logging + exercise you will get results

I quite last year (7mths) fell off the wagon, now stopped again for last 9 months. Both times I had craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy dreams, vivid dreams. I put it down to the nicotine withdraw. It eased off around week 3 and I'm totally fine now

Something else that you can do is plan ahead and log your food in advance at a time that suits. That can help you stick to your goals, particularly if you don't want to have to log in *again* just to add in those couple of unplanned biscuits you had :laugh:
