  • Funny how our smiles come back.. You look great!
  • I think this will vary greatly depending on height and fitness level. I am 5'3 and I just started the C25K. My walk is at 2.8 and my jog is at 3.5. I just go with what I can sustain for a period of time. Once I get the jogging down, I will add speed. Too much at once is overwhelming...
  • This this this! Scares me to death! You should be able to gently lay it down or its too heavy! Geez
  • Try honey...its natural!
  • No I haven't been fitted. I go numb on the elliptical too! My toes on both feet go numb when I do that. But no cramping like the treadmill.
  • Thanks! I've tried loosening it up and it doesn't seem to make a difference. No, I don't stretch before, only after. Nothing else seems to bother me. I'll have to look up the "Runners Stretch". If it were an injury should it not hurt all the time? It never hurts, only when I'm really walking fast or start the jogging. So…
  • I have my calorie goal set to 1800. I usually burn 300-350 calories per day which gives me a net of 1500 or so. If I burn a little more that day, I'll eat a little more.
  • I agree! Too low....so I changed mine.
  • It seems the lower the sodium content is in the chicken the less flavor it has and the dryer it gets. Lots of great ideas here that I haven't thought of. Thanks! I'll give them a shot.
  • I have done this. 3 days early this month and they have only been lasting a day or two.... Also, I don't gain weight during my period. I pretty much stay the same.
  • I am a lot more flexible now since I began this journey. Finding lots of ways to put that to good use!
  • If they really want to make a difference, they need to regulate what is in our food and what is available at the stores to feed our children. 100 years ago, all you had to eat was good food. Let's go back to those days...
  • I've learned that when eating "clean", it's hard for me to reach my 1800 a day calorie goal. I've learned it's healthier to buy the "real" thing than reduced fat or fat free alternatives. I've learned that I need to find other ways to add flavor to my foods. I've learned that I AM WORTH IT!
  • If I drink too much water while exercising, I too get nausous. I have to put my water bottle away.
  • I have almost lost a 5000 BTU air conditioner! So cool!
  • Chest strap is a must. I bought one from Wal-mart for about $45.00. It was showing a crazy amount of calories burned! So I took it back and got the Polar F7. It was $100 at ****'s sporting goods. Much, MUCH more accurate.
  • Some great advice from everyone! Thanks! I checked out the C25K and it seems doable. Still looking up some apps on my phone to help with this (I have a Droid). I'll give an update in the coming week or so to let y'all know how I'm doing with it! Thanks again...
  • My typical weekend breakfast was biscuits, gravy, hassbrown casserole, bacon and eggs! Pushing 1400 calories just for breakfast! Crazy! Oh how I miss my biscuits and gravy....
  • You can also get decaffeinated tea. After I quit the diet cokes, I replaced it with sweet tea. Gained 15 pounds back of what I lost last year! Yikes! Being in Tennessee, tea just isn't meant to drink unsweet. lol So now I have a BIG box of decaffeinated tea sitting in my cabinet. All water and milk for me since.
  • I was stuck too for 2 weeks! Went from 1500 calories a day to 1800-1900 a day. I usually burn 300 calories, 6 days a week. I don't worry about eating my calories back unless I burn more than usual. I increased my calories last Tuesday and by Friday I was down another pound. Also weighed in today and was down 1 more pound!…

  • In the beginning, mine would swell while I was walking. However, now it's not a problem so much. Give it time, your body should adjust.
  • Wow! Lots of good ideas here that I actually think I might like. I'll give them a shot! Thanks!

  • Eat less, move more! It's so simple, yet so hard...
  • Oatmeal with string cheese and a hard boiled egg!
  • To get your max heartrate, you subtract your age from 220. That is your max heartrate.
  • Signed up for it this year! First time though. I've talked to a lot of people who said they had a blast. I also found an online coupon for $5.00 off. It's activewd521. I can't wait!
  • OH my goodness! I have been in the same boat! I've lost 50 pounds and I've stayed exactly the same for 2 weeks. Then this morning I get up and I've gained a pound. How does that happen???? Keep us posted. Interested in seeing if the extra calories starts the weightloss again.
  • Had an older guy next to me this morning. He burped so loud! Just because you have earplugs in and your music is drowning out the loudness of your burp doesn't mean everyone else can't hear it! He didn't even try to cover it up!
