  • I've been using my Polar FT4 for monitoring my weight lifting and HIIT workouts. It's way more accurate than an activity tracker, and most people use HRMs for workout such as these. Since the chest strap monitors are continuously tracking your heart rate, it should accurately track your burn imo...but I suppose others…
  • TAKE GLUTAMINE POST WORKOUT. Trust me on this. I just started Insanity about a month ago and was dyyyying of soreness everyday...until I started taking Glutamine. Just a teaspoon in a cup a water right after your workouts and boom, no soreness. You can find it for pretty cheap. I bought mine at Whole Foods but you could…
  • OK so an update....I dropped my calories to 1600 yesterday and switched to 40% carbs for the day...well I woke up and I was 2.5 pounds down! I think I was overeating calories and carbs. When month 2 starts I will bump up my calories to 1700 or 1800 since I will be burning more calories. I know that the meal plan says for…

  • I haven't really felt a significant difference in my clothes since I wear scrubs everyday, which are unfortunately/fortunately very forgiving when you are gaining weight, and you can't really tell a big difference in fit with weight fluctuations. But, I have lost an inch in my belly area, and I look a tiny bit leaner in my…
  • Omg same about everything! I am on week 3 day 5 and I have gained 5 pounds. Sooooo frustrating!!! Same height and starting weight and caloric intake. I have been eating 50% carbs, 30% protein, and 20% fats. I am going to try to reduce my carbs to 40% and see if that makes a difference. Let me know if you come across…
  • So, unfortunately there is nothing out there at this point that is an activity tracker and a HRM combined. I recently just ended up purchasing a Fitbit Force and a couple weeks later I also bought a HRM. Yeah it's a couple hundred combined but my health is worth it, and I'll just budget less for other things over the next…
