My family motivates me. But most importantly I motivate myself. Health motivates me the most of everything though, I want to be healthy again!!

I do not tend to reward myself with gifts. The happiness is enough for me. One gift I would like and this is good for me is to be taken off some medicine associated with high weight.

Small victories are what keep me motivated all the time. Pushing at the gym for 5 more minutes or eating something healthier. The little things count more than the major things. My little victory today was doing 18 mins of cardio then weight lifting then back on treadmill for another 10 minutes to cool down the muscles.…

Definitely keep track and stick with it, we are all in the same boat. If you need some advice feel free to message me or add. I am in this for my health and my wellbeing. I think everyone on here will say the same.

I am hypothyroid! Yes I have a plan that works for me as well. Let me share. First of all I am on medicine to boost my thyroid back to its normal function (definitely see someone about that, helps with weight loss). For me, simple carbs (white bread and regular potatoes) are simple sugars and digest fast. They make you…

Thanks, I used a FitBit too at one point but according to MFP it wasn't doing as much for me. Congrats on starting out though, that can be the hardest step in all of this. My goal is to lose a total of 120 pounds. I am well over half way there now after 1.5 years of working on it. Slow and steady wins the race is what I…

Thanks to all who responded, this is the best I have ever done with weight loss at all!! I am trying to maintain this myself without the assistance of a personal trainer actually. I have been doing different cardio now 4x a week and a full body weight training 3x a week. So far down 4 pounds since I joined my fitness pal.…
