I'm eating at maintenance and have made gains in strength doing SL5x5. Have stalled here and there, but fairly normal stalls, OHP!!!!, once on squats, once on DL, slowing down on bench gains (over 100+lbs now).

Sorry @violet, I have no idea. Here is a squat failure video guys, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwDN1156e0s he has safeties for it to land on, but without safeties the bar will land on the floor. I've had to bail out of a squat before, it's not as scary as it seems.

I'm on the later end of the spectrum, waking up at 6 for the gym. I set out my clothes the night before and the stuff to make my coffee. For squats, you let the bar roll back and I drop down to my knees when I know I'm going to fail. For OHP, you won't get the bar over your head if you're gonna fail, trust me. For DL, the bar will just drop down. For rows, same as DL or you won't even get it up to your chest. Bench is trickiest, but google roll of shame and…

Yes, they can make you skinny too if you are eating at a deficit. Which apparently you are, since 1000 calories is like what a toddler eats.

I don't think 1200 is enough for anyone. Look for a tdee calculator and find out what you should actually be eating.

1200 calories isn't enough. It's the worst. When I ate at 1200 calories I never had enough energy for anything and the amount of food you get to eat is ridiculous.

You can gain strength while not gaining muscle. :) It happens through training of the central nervous system. You will make more strength gains on a surplus than a cut however. Yes, cardio after lifting. That being said, lifting three days in a row is not going to be good for you or very beneficial. You're going to be sore, and tired, and that will make your lifts on Sunday and Monday not very effective.
