When I first started on here, I was around 9 stone. I'm 5 foot 4/5. While my job is more sedentary than yours, for me to gain weight back then I was on in or around 4,000 calories everyday. I found a handful of nuts like almonds x 2, once in the morning and another in the afternoon every day great as they were high in…

It will take time to get used to the extra calories. When I did my first bulk, I was on in or around 4,000 calories daily. Took a while to get used to but once I did, I found that spreading out the calories throughout the day into 4 meals and 2 snacks as well as pre logging the diary helped a lot. Everyone is different and…

When I got it the first time on a nail on my right foot last year, I was wondering what it was. Did the stupid thing and googled it. Once I got past the "I'm going to die" posts, I discovered it was runners toe. As soon a new nail formed on that toe, I got it on the same toe on the left foot. Has just now cleared and new…

I could be wrong but that sounds like runners toe. The nail will become a darkish colour soon if not already and all that is is the blood coagulates in the nail. The nail is dead. A new nail will grow underneath the dead nail and will eventually push the old nail out until it falls off. Nothing to worry about. Started…

I would second this. If your form is terrible, you could make your back worse. Forget about watching videos. Get yourself physically to a yoga class with a good yoga instructor after you have done your research and they will help you with your form.

No problem. It does sound different to what I had in the rotator cuff. Still if its not better by the end of next week, go see the physio.
-
I would be interested to see how it is after you have rested it for a few weeks. I'm not a physio but it sounds like the pain might be hibernating and once you start hitting that area again, the pain will come back. Again I'm not physio but it sounds like a rotator cuff issue like I had last year and I would really…

Chocolate Nutella. If I know its in the house, even if it doesnt belong to me, the jar is gone in a flash. It's my kryptonite

I'll second what @kimothy38 and @Titanuim said. While it wont lead to big muscles, it is very complementary to weight lifting and running if you do that. Has improved my mobility, flexibility and has reduced the niggles I used to get especially in my lower back.

Oops. On this side of the Atlantic in Ireland and England, we would use the word "malarkey" over "Baloney" more often to be honest.

Deadlifts. Form is fine when its just the bar. Put any weight on the bar and form goes bellyup. No matter what my PT did, nothing would work as my back would always round. As I always get lower back problems from doing them, PT has stopped me doing them completely. Oh well. Can't do everything.

I would second what @Tiny_Dancer_in_Pink said above. Get it seen to by a physio. If you are working out at the moment, hold off doing anymore until you see a physio. I had this last year. Went to a physio who gave me good stretches to do. Took a while to fully heal and thankfully it has more or less. I still do the…

Would agree with this. Years ago I stupidly lose a lot of weight and spent years trying to put muscle on to no avail. It was only when I came on here and started with a PT that I started to put the muscle on but that took a while and a lot of eating.

You should try taking up Pilates but make sure you go to an actual class and let the instructor know of your back issues. Pilates might go some way to helping the lower back problems.

Wow that is a lot to maintain on with or without training @RAD_Fitness . Your food bill must be huge.
-
Seems to be around 2,600 to defluff (cut), around 3,100 to maintain so similar to @psuLemon and between 3,500 - 4,000 to bulk.

The only sounds I listen to while running are the sounds of nature. Tried running once to music but just found it too distracting.

Runkeeper as it seems to be pretty accurate.

Almonds & cashews are a great snack to have at work.

@ninerbuff I wouldn't say don't do dips. Had Tendinitis last year and while its more or less healed, some days I do a slight niggle of leftover tendinits if that makes sense. Recently I got back to doing dips cos the physio said they shouldn't be a problem but I always make sure to do a lot of stretches of the area…

All of the above advice is spot on. The only thing I can add is to pre log your diary if you are logging your foods which will save times where its 9pm in the evening, you have a million calories left to eat and you are worried about to get them all in.
-
Another 0.5kg/1.1lbs gone and now back to the weight I was before I went to Italy. The very slow and steady defluff continues.

How about aiming for a powerlifting meet? You would have something to aim for. Also you don't mention anything about cardio. How about take up running while maintaining your lifting and aim for a 10k race or half marathon? Just a thought.
