Hello! What should I set my goals at for eating Primal/paleo? I'm 5'2, 129 lbs. Thanks
-
I'm also trying to go sugar free, and I was reading a label on one of the things I normally would have grabbed to snack on - it's supposedly quite healthy........... and I didn't think it was that sweet. Second ingredient ......sugar. Funny how some things that we find in the health food section, you just assume they are…

I put your specs in and the results were Sedentary tdee - 1931. I put my sedentary tdee as my caloric goal, and log any exercise I do. I've lost 10 lbs. Eating at 1200 made me tired, and cranky....and I wasn't losing. Much happier, and healthier now (and not starving all the time). Good luck to you hun!

What are your specs? height, current weight? find your sedentary tdee, and eat below that and log all exercise. I put my caloric intake up...it helped get me moving AND I feel WAYYYY better!

Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing!

I use them every day. They are very good for you, and seem to help me feel fuller longer. Perhaps, it's all in my head... but whatever works right?! They are pretty much tasteless, so if you soak them in in liquid they get softer and won't have the crunch to them. I love using them. Google the benefits of chia........…

bump to read later Thanks:flowerforyou:

They really have no taste, I put them in tons of things. Haven't tried them in baking (YET)!!

I didn't write the article, I just copy and pasted it. I thought there was some useful information in it!
-
Exactly! So glad it's helping you with your blood sugars! That is wonderful!
-
I started using them to try and satisfy my constant hunger pains.... how awesome to know how great they are for you!!!! I googled it just to see what benefits there were, and WOW was it nice to see all of that! :flowerforyou:

Thanks for the post! Can't wait to get my hands on some and try them!

I'm considering it also. I borrowed my mom's bullet and was VERY unimpressed with it. I would love to start making smoothies, but my blender doesn't work worth crap. Any other comments on it? good or bad....

I often find myself looking for snacks...even when I'm not hungry. I try to mostly make them worthwhile snacks, but on the wkds I find it harder. At work, I only bring healthy options, so it lessens the options of what I can pick from. I also find it hard to keep up with my water consumption on the weekend.

^^^ AGREED! 43 in a few weeks. Just had the best Christmas ever, and looking forward to 2013!

Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to compile this information. It took me a few times to read it to understand it better. You are such a sweetheart to do this for everyone.

So what do you have your goals set to for calories? And what about your macros? I'm also 42, 5'2 and currently 126 lbs. I have read so many conflicting ideas on here, I get confused also. I'm trying to eat better (trying to stay away from the junk - which keeps being dropped off on my desk.....). I am sitting most of the…

OMG this is THE funniest thing I've read online in a long time! Yeah perhaps I don't get out much.......... hahahaha THANKS for the chuckles!

Thanks for the post!

That sounds yummy! Do you use the canned chickpeas? for the cajun seasoning, is it like a popcorn seasoning? What is a seafood stick?

Hard boiled eggs. light cheese, 0% mf greek yogurt, walnuts......... all have protein (and are worth about 100 cals per serving). Sometimes I'll premeasure Multigrain cheerios for a crunchy, sweet snack. Lots of fruit n veggies. I pre weigh my snacks so I know exactly what I'm eating.

I also am addicted to sugar, and I feel as though I have to have something everyday. What's really bad is a customer brought me in BIG box of Lindt signature chocolates........ I have given away lots out of the box and I only allow myself ONE at a time, since they are about 90 calories each. I wish I had enough will power…
