  • What a fabulous post! Thank you for starting this one. :) I LOVE Mandisa (saw her last week), TobyMac, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Jamie Grace, Jeremy Camp, Gungor, Decyfer Down, Kutless, NEEDTOBREATHE, Francesca Battastelli, Third Day,....I'm sure there are others!!
  • Lucky you!! It was my first visit to that entire area and it was just so nice!! :)
  • I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Ohio!! My Dad is from Akron and I always enjoyed visiting the area as a kid. I was so excited to take my husband and kids to Ohio a couple years ago and they enjoyed it too. We have family everywhere between Uniontown and Columbus. One of the highlights of our last trip was spending a day in Put-in-Bay.…
  • I've been meaning to look up some recipes using radishes and glad I came across this one. My husband added some to our garden and I do NOT enjoy them! I had no idea they were so "spicy". The only thing I've done with them is add them into the crock pot with a beef raost, carrots, and potatoes. It gave a bit of spicy flavor…
  • I'd never thought about using a HR monitor! Great idea. Really - do the strength training BEFORE cardio? That's opposite of what every one at my gym does - and what the trainers told us to do upon joining. My problem is that I HATE cardio and LOVE strength training so I'd get finished with the machines and go home! :)
  • Thank you all! I guess I was just trying to find an easier way than having to add every machine I use separately.
  • http://blog.foodnetwork.com/healthyeats/2010/09/20/make-your-own-trail-mix/ Here's a site I found the other day! It's got some good ideas for trail mix. :)
  • A friend of mine did the 60-day juice fast after watching that same movie and he lost right at 60 lbs. It's only been about a month post fast so I'm not sure how he's done with keeping it off yet. He's a fanatic about it now, too. :)
  • THANK YOU!! It's driven me crazy for years as I've tried to follow the "brown rice is better" theory, yet nearly every brand I pick up to compare (white vs. brown) have the exact same nutritional content!! It's the same for me with white bread vs. brown bread, I truly don't see a better nutritional value from one over the…
  • Whatever they do to yogurt to call it "Greek", I hope they keep doing! I've hated yogurt my entire life; just the smell of it has always disgusted me. I finally broke down and tried Chobani Greek Yogurt and I LOVE it. I enjoy most of the fruit flavors, and have replaced every recipe I cook with the plain or vanilla instead…

  • I've never even looked at my recommended allowances for either of them. I follow the calories and that's it! And by doing that, I almost always stay at or below the fat - the two most important for me. Don't try so hard; that may be your problem. It may take a while for you to get the hang of it and see what foods/how they…
  • I am 33 and have struggled with PCOS since I was about 15 - diagnosed at 19/20. Not being able to conceive was the first clue, but my sudden weight gain, non-existant periods, etc. added to the list. The ONLY way I've ever been able to lose weight was to follow a low-carb plan. However, it didn't work for me after my 2nd…

  • You're not the only one! I don't live in a neighborhood, so no sidewalks...My husband is up and gone at 5 am so I can't go to a gym before he leaves and there aren't any affordable ones close by that I could go to anyway. My lunch break is the time I used to powerwalk for an hour but it was just pushed back to 30 minutes…
  • Our local weight loss clinic - that's been in business for at least 20+ years - also does the shots and "pill packets" but gives you a VERY low fat/calorie diet to follow. I tried it once and never lost more than 5 lbs. I have friends that go and do very well on it. Of course, I think they're starving themselves and eating…
  • Not much online? Really? That's the only place I get my recipes!! My favorite site for recipes is www.kraftfoods.com. They are regular recipes, not specifically low-fat, etc. But just search for them - they're there! Google your favorite brands, nearly all of them have web sites and most of them offer recipes. Here's one…
  • It never helped me with my weight loss...it may some people, but not me. Good luck to you though!
  • The last time in my life I was able to lose a decent amount of weight (between my two kids), I lost 34 lbs. and only went down one size. And it took all the way to 25-30 lbs. before that even happened. I love very slow and see changes very slowly.
  • Great!! Thank you so much!
  • So are you saying that you cook the pork loin by itself to begin with? And once you remove it and drain it's own juices, then you add in all of the ingredients? Just wanted to be sure!
  • This has to be one of my favorite recipes right now!! I did this using a jar of mango-peach salsa and then added in about 1/2-3/4 can of pineapple chunks (with juice). They are fabulous!!! I planned to serve them over jasmine rice but they were so good on their own! :) Thank you for the idea!
  • I have this as the NON-healthy version and adjusted it to low-fat/fat-free for the Super Bowl...and I hated it. I don't like the taste of fat-free cream cheese AT ALL and it ruined the flavor of this recipe for me. My husband enjoyed it though! lol
  • The last time I made this cake for an office party, I used white cake mix, diet Sprite and when the cake was cooled off - just before serving - I poured a can of crushed pineapple WITH some of the juice over the top. And as the slices were served, a dollop of Cool Whip, if desired. I will most likely be making this for our…
  • Awesome! Mine is very similar! I've always said I want to be able to tuck my shirt in with a belt, too. And our funny little goal in the office is to go to our local blood bank to donate blood and be able to check off the little box that says "I weigh under 115 lbs." :) In all seriousness, my goals are to be able to run…
  • Yep! Just those two items. That's an old WW recipe. :) And very yummy!
  • Congrats to you! I understand the "feeling" you have. You're accomplishing your goal and what you're doing is working for you and that's a great thing! I've lost 4.5 lbs. since I joined MFP 10 days ago and that's the best I've ever done on any "weight loss program". This is easy for me and it feels great!! I can't wait to…
  • I'm not sure of the correct answer, and I'm sure it's different for everyone, but my friend at work says no. She doesn't enter her exercise info until the end of her day after she's completed her food entries so that she doesn't get concerned about having more calories to eat. She's consistently been losing weight and this…
