  • I use stick antiperspirant/ deodorant. It works like the anti chafe sticks but is way cheaper and I already own it.
  • Ya I've been seeing it for sure. It ticks me off. Also I'm mad at myself for, the week before lockdown, seeing a set of weights at the store and thinking oh I will buy them next time. Then everything went crazy.

  • I'm also with the people that suggest going low carb to drop the glycogen from your body and this drop water weight. That can often (depending how carby your diet was before) be like 5-7 lbs. That, coupled with a 2 lbs per week deficit would maybe pull it off?
  • Wow great job! Can I ask how tall you are?
  • Great insight everyone. The crazy thing is that I can't even blame poor nutrition info on the recipe. I literally just didn't look? And then ate THE WHOLE BATCH. Then didn't log. Then woke up the next day and thought huh,I bet a whole cup of almond flour is high cal! :# Ugh. So silly
  • I have a friend who swears she's been faithfully to the calorie following her diet for months and seen like 3 lb loss when she should be seeing far more. Her doctors ran tests and her hormones are out of whack. She's getting treatment now and her weight is falling. I have a dr in a specialized metabolism clinic and he…
  • My first month of lockdown was just endless bad for choices and no movement. I gained about 7 lbs or so which is not a small amount of work to take back off. Anyhow, I saw where it was going and decided that it was just a mental excuse that was leading me this way. Why would having MORE time in my schedule have to mean…
  • I've just finished my first month of Whole 30 today! Going to keep going to a Whole 45 or 60 and then flex between Paleo like you've been doing. Great progress!! Well done and thanks for the inspo!
  • Hey @alexmose so one of the "rules" to the program is not to track your intake otherwise, and not to weigh or measure yourself for the whole month. I think the concept is to try to get people to understand and respond appropriately to hunger signs, stopping when full, and focusing on health and her they feel etc instead of…
  • I just finished Whole 30 and 1 round of 21 Day Fix and I'm down 11 inches this month! I don't know if that's a lot or a normal change for a months work, but I'm happy! I've decided to extend my Whole 30 for another 15 days at least and then I will actually weigh in but overall I: - Am sleeping great and waking up before my…
  • I don't know that there is an answer to the first question really- maybe there's an average out there? It's obviously going to vary and if a person is weight training/macro counting to slow down LBM vs someone who is only in a calorie deficit, then I imagine that would impact things. To the second question, I've heard that…
  • I just started using Collagen peptides two days ago for the first time. Weirdly I developed headache both days (I chalked the first days up to weather changes but it's really weird for me to get headache so on day two I got to wondering). I did a quick search and Sorrento collagen protrudes can cause headaches and sleep…
  • Great idea! The numbers can me misleading sometimes so just keep going!
  • Yes your loss seems to be going comparatively quickly. I think it's quite possible that you lost a lot of inches in your first month before you started measuring. I know when I start a new routine and WOE, I definitely drop more inches at the beginning. Is there maybe before pictures you can compare or some item of clothes…
  • Hey. So I'm enrolled at my local Dr Poon clinic because my family dr wants me to lose some weight in efforts to avoid becoming diabetic. From the sounds of the referral process, snoring does not need to be some huge factor in attending. They certainly never asked me about it other than a passing question. I had success in…
  • Hey so I'm not a doctor and you should really check this with a medical professional. That being said, since metformin works by making your body more insulin sensitive (simplified explanation), many people find that following a diet that creates less impact to your blood sugar levels can especially be helpful for those…
  • Some people find it easier to follow a program (even a restrictive program) because they have not yet found a way to just eat in a balanced way. Let's face it, if we were all great at just eating balanced and in moderation with no food issues, we probably wouldn't be on a weight-loss journey. OP I've done South Beach in…
  • Also there are a lot of factors that cause weight fluctuations that do not mean you aren't loading fat in the background. For example, water retention (caused by sodium intake, hormone changes, muscle repair after starting a new routine, taking a flight, stress, etc) can "hide" the fact that you've lost weight. It sounds…

  • Sodium, travel, carbs. If you flew then that will make you retain water. Just give it like a week and I bet things level out. 12lbs x 3500 =42000 calories. I'm sure you didnt eat 42,000 EXTRA calories in a week.

  • I'm 5'8 and I'm kinda apple shaped (tend to gain around my middle and across the back). My goal is somewhere between 62-65 kg (this is where I sat most of my adult life and for me translated to about a size 8/10). Lowest I've ever been was 57 kg which was too small IMO.
