Pad thai and fresh fruit. When I'm in Indo, I try and stay away from meat unless in a high-end restaurant. Fairly sure I've eaten dog in Sumatra...never again. Noodles, sea food, fresh veggies/sea food. If you find yourself down in Uluwatu, go to Yeye's Warung. It's the best food I've ever had. Ever. Full stop.

It works for me! I mean, there are limits. If you're strict 6 days a week and then have a 7000 calorie binge, then thats no good. But being pretty good during the week, maybe with a couple of treats and then eating at maintenance on a Saturday so you can have a couple extra roast potatoes or a nice double helping of…

I try not to binge and I'm pretty good most of the time. My fall down is shark week. In that week, I just go on with my bad self and indulge. Not as much as I possibly could, but certainly enough to take the edge off. It's just M&Ms and some sort of super salty crisps.

Might not be exactly what you are looking for, but I love the Food Doctor pitta breads. One comes in at 130 calories, but I find it very satisfying so I don't need two. Lots of wholegrains in it.

Interviewed for a promotion. Whether I get it or not, at least I tried. *sobs into bottle of red wine*

Was going to, but then I remembered it's my parents 40th anniversary and my dads made a special homebrew for it. And it's my 1 year anniversary and going to Paris and a friend is coming to see who I haven't seen in ages and it's a stressful month at work.... So no. I'll maybe do January like normal people.

It is genetic, but I am pear-shaped and have noticed that it almost disappears completely when I am at the lower end of BMI and when I really go hard on the elliptical and step machines.
-
Elliptical as the main one to start out with, then work in the stepper/stairmaster and the rowing machine. I love the rowing machine as it gives me maximum calorie burn per minute, but it's taken me about 6 months to build up my fitness where I can go on it for 20 minutes or so at a time. When I started it I could manage…

Routine and organisation! Make sure you sort everything out the night before so all you need to do in the morning is put your gear on and grab your stuff. If I had to make lunch, decided what to wear for work, pack make up etc and all that malarky, there's no way I'd do it. Quick! Get in the habit now before winter sets in…

You are my spirit animal.

Excellent to see people standing up for themselves! So funny how people respond when they are called out on their bad behavior. And...ok this may be a snap reaction....but I wonder if you had been male, if he would have been so quick to comment on your body/food choice as up for public discussion? Doubtful. I've had…

When you have an inate fear of gaining weight. Of having lists and and lists of "safe" and "fear foods". When you drop a lot of weight fairly quickly. When food and calories consume your waking thoughts. When you can "feel" the fat from foods adding girth to your body. Over exercise. Laxative over use. Becoming reclusive…

Hide the veggies. I find cottage pie good for this. You can easily get broccoli, carrots, parsnips and peas up in there and they will be so distracted by NOMS they wont even notice :) This is a good one to start you off. Takes ages, but so worth it http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/775643/cottage-pie

I up the resistance. It's a lot harder, you don't go as far in km, but by god do you feel the burn and you can see the calorie ticker going up. Also, contributes to a nice bubble butt :)

HELL YES to the Lamingtons and the BBQ Shapes. Also, Pizza shapes. You can keep you Chicko rolls though hahah...I worked in an outback roadhouse for 6 months and holy hell - those things taste like fried fart. Smell nice though.
-
Nepalese. Always has been, always will be. I could eat it everyday none stop. But ironically...I cannot make it. Indian, Chinese, Mexican - I can cook these quite well with some taste of authenticity. But Nepali food...I manage to stuff it up every time.

Stick a bit of ham or smoked salmon on top of that cream cheese! *slobber*

Ok, so! I like to get a jar of paste, not the actual jar of sauce. The paste is more concentrated and usually just contains the spices needed and some oil and preservatives, unless you have time to throw all the spices around (this is fairly easy, but I'm very disorganised and can never remember what I put in it). This one…

QFT. A YES badged person told me to "F*** off home, Tory b*tch" this morning, on hearing my English accent (I could maybe understand it, but I have a very broad Northern accent, hardly cut-glass). Put me right off the Greggs yum-yums brought into the office. STOP THE MADNESS PLEASE, I WANT TO GET OFF.
-
I honestly don't mind the smell of it it, despite having never smoked tobacco in my life. Although not keen on having it around food, because TASTEBUDS. The litter is what pisses me off. Don't drop it in the gutter, have a bit more respect. Oh, and also DON'T SMOKE IN DOORWAYS I DON'T CARE IF IT'S RAINING THAT'S JUST…

Same here. I'm in my mid-twenties and still can't diet like a normal person would, even if it's a just a few vanity pounds, HOWEVER self-awareness goes a helluva long way in combating it. Unfortunately, it's something that you have to actively fight against. You can't sit there and hope that it heals itself once you've got…

Hm, I can only really give anecdotal example of this. But I'm pear shaped and yes, I do get cellulite, quite a lot actually. I have noticed however than when I get to the lower end of my BMI it reduces drastically. To lose the weight I do cut out cheese and dairy to maybe just a couple times a month (not including milk in…

All of this! Must a North England thing. We were basically the same - 4 nights a week would be some sort of meat (pork chop, lamb chop, chicken breast), or fish, potatoes and then two veg - peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans etc. One night would be salad and fresh roast chicken, Sundays would ALWAYS be a…

You will even out. Water retention plays a big part. Try not to stress about it. Case in point - on Wednesday I weighed 5lbs more than I weighed in at today. On Tuesday I had consumed a lot of salty foods, plus bloating from some not quite cooked enough story fry. Try not to fret - I'm currently trying to get my intake…

Yep, sure does work on pear-shapes! Flat stomach and a big *kitten*. I'm the same...stock up on ALL the high waisted things as soon as they're infashion.

Hm, I work in an Ivy League university and there is a heap of research happening in the nutrition/biology dept. right now which is proving the exact opposite... Personally - 5 portions of fruit and veg isn't enough for me. They form the bulk of my diet and I sure as hell notice the difference in how I feel and migraine…
-
Indian food and Nepalese food. Always has been, always will be. Plus, it's easy to cook in bulk, add veggies to, cream for a treat, tomatoes for a healthier option, can switch up to naan bread instead of rice. If I ever get stuck for ideas, I just take a trip to my local Nepalese restaurant for dinner and while I'm there I…

I tend to do about 1km every 10 minutes, maybe a little more but it depends on the level I've set it at. A couple of times a week I like to basically wade through molasses on it, so to contribute to the bubble butt. It's working thus far. The burn is significantly higher it's usually around 14-16 calories a minute, but…
-
Yep, I do this. I have a repertoire of about 9 meals I make A LOT especially during the week, so I only really had to do it about 9 times. If I add anything else to my jukebox of dindins, it's usually on the weekends when I have a little more time. I've also found that you actually get pretty damn accurate at weighing…

I love being around kids, but don't want any myself because I'm not sure I have the capacity to love them enough.
