  • My tolerance to carbs is quite low, so a lower carb diet works for me. I have tried keto in the past but its not sustainable. I tend to eat more carbs the night before my weight sessions to fuel it. I watch the scale fluctuate as I increase carbs, but as long as I am in a deficit, the scales do move down. I am not worried…
  • Sorry for the late reply. We have a poorly toddler at the moment and upon reflection, I wonder if the long, sleepless weekend was part of my problem! Thank you so much for the replies. I would love to reply to you all individually, however I will try to address some of the common questions: "Clean eating" - So I am not…
  • I was actually breathing in more in the first pic 😂😂 I think the lighting helped in the second one.
  • 100% - I will be doing a photo every 30 days and continue to weigh myself at the same time, under the same conditions on the same day of the week. I do weigh myself most days just to keep an eye on the trend but officially log on the same day. Keep up the focus and good luck!
  • I go to the gym 5 days a week. Tuesday and Thursday are for moderate to high intensity training and the others are light cardio and strength training. I use the weekend as my rest days and that seems to be working :)
  • Hey all, I am from the South West of England. Been a member for a while but 31 days ago decided it was time to get fit and stay fit. I am online every day at the moment so feel free to add me and I will support your journey 👌
  • I am in the same boat as JimFsfitnesspal, I swam for my county in England for many years and it COULD have gone a lot further, till I found junk food and sweets! I still have the technique just not the stamina :disagree: I am still very passionate about swimming now and just love being in the water, I plan to achieve my…
  • Hey Bud! As above, dieting is a huge lifestyle change and if you jump into it feet first and make drastic changes, you have more chance of failing - it happened to me more times than I care to remember! You want to ease yourself into it, use your weight and height to work out how many calories your body burns off with no…
  • I have to disagree... I know people that have done Keto for years and get to a weight that they are happy with and maintain it. Its about being in a calorie deficit for losing weight, whether you are eating carbs or not. Yes, you do put on a few pounds when you stop keto because of the initial water, but if people are…
  • Low carb or Keto? Keto has worked really well for me over the past 5 - 6 weeks having lost 13lbs so far. After the first couple of weeks and you become adapted, you have increased energy and decreased appetite. It doesnt work for everyone but if you can make it through the initial phase, you will enjoy the benefits. You…
  • Well I can confirm that as of this morning, 7 days in and 7.2lbs down - it is true that if you stick to it you can loose 1lb a day!
  • JBuchananon - Have a look at the below link, goes into detail and quite useful and motivational http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/comments/2ck0fb/how_keto_works_for_the_layman/ I too have just restarted my diet after about 6 months off and will be posting my status updates and food every day, so add if you want support and…
  • To achieve something you’ve never had before, you must do something you’ve never done before.
  • Hi Ash, I am relatively new but post and motivate every day and built a strong group of friends already by doing so. Add me and i'll kick your butt if i have to! :)
  • OH...MY...GOD! What an amazing transformation and a true inspiration! You look great now my friend and it is always nice to see such a fantastic success story. Keep up the great work... trurly inspirational.
  • I went cold turkey 61 days ago now! I initially used the E-Cigs as Hornsby suggested... then as it wasnt the same, I changed my "triggers" and grew out of when I smoked the most. The hardest thing for me is drinking and not smoking... but if you can diet, you can give up smoking! Good luck!!
  • Hi Matt, Thanks for the add, I have accepted and im on board! Round 2 will be the final, knockout round! Good luck!
  • Congrtulations!! :glasses: I'm glad to hear you are successfully and healthily losing weight. I agree, I had to cut out the breads and pasta as it made me feel awful. Keep up the good work!
  • I think we can all agree that its easier to put it on... and at the time, more fun! I used to love my McDonalds Double Cheeseburger and Big Tasty with Bacon lol - then someone made "Just Eat" and allowed us to order takeaway from the internet or iPhone app and i REALLY took advantage lol... i love my food, but it doesnt…
  • Exactly! I am allowing myself one thing if i start craving... where i would used to sit and be able to eat a whole pack of chocolate digestives (nom nom nom!) if i have been good all day, I will allow myself only 1... the craving then goes away. Hopefully over time these cravings will subside more and I will be even…

  • Good luck Sarah, just message me if you need a bit of motivation! It really is tough, I was quite large a few years ago and i trained hard but wasnt very strict with my diet and got down to 80kg... ive gone up to 92kg and just couldnt shake it until now... I've given up fast food for lent and using this site for the…
  • Hi! Its so difficult! I work 12 hour shifts as well (2 days / 2 nights) so I struggle with 17:30 - 05:30 without keeping myself awake with sugar! I am sure I will use the community here when I am working to keep me on the straight and narrow. Good luck to you too!!
  • If you are looking for a great source of protein then try these: http://goldstandardnutrition.co.uk/steam-cooked-chicken-fillets/ You simply defrost and eat them cold, they genuinely taste delicious and as they are steam cooked they keep all the good nutrients. I cook up some frozen broccoli and brown rice, mix in a…
  • Hi :) By using this website and the iPhone app, this first week I have been more dedicated than ever. I too would like to gain some friends so we can push each other through the tougher times that we will go through. I am going on holiday in June (5th) and I really want to keep motivated until then and lose the weight I…
