Mine was from 2012 but I looked that way until I started dieting in 2014.

You and people like you is why I know I can do this (I've lost 56lb in 12 months with another 42lb to go). You are an amazing inspiration, thank you.

So true! I sit at my desk in work and get up just to walk around to burn off some energy, and wereas before I'd find that sitting down for long periods was a pretty brilliant hobby, these days I want to be out and about, just walking my dogs and enjoying the great outdoors.

But if I am bulking, shouldn't I be gaining inches, not losing them?
-
I'd go along with that!

My current exercise is mostly power walking, but I do the occasional squats and other cardio I find on free phone apps and YouTube. I plan to regularly do more of this. Compared to others, my exercise is probably very little, but considering then I started this journey I was 292lb and my only exercise was a leisurely…

If I am being honest, I have been slipping lately; I'd say my diary is about 80% - 90% correct, so the margain for error could be about 300 calories a day. Mind you, I often overestimate portion sizes to take account of "slack", so I would've hoped that this would cancel itself out. But like I said in my post, I am not…

Speaking as someone who doesn’t like wearing things 24/7 either – I don’t wear a watch – I got a Fitbit One in May last year and was dubious about wearing it all the time, but within a day or 2 I was fully sold on it and I have only taken it off since to shower, swim, etc. I am hopefully upgrading to the Charge HR in a few…

I have already geared myself up for a lifetime of logging, whether I'm losing or maintaining and I am ok with that, but the aim to never have to log again adn not put the weight back on is surely the ultimate goal.

I HATE that one, I am told it often. I tell my friend to tell <<so and so>> that I have lost 45lb by eating healthy and not spending a single penny on any fads or plans.
-
Similar to your point 1, "should you really be eating that if you are on a diet?". AAARRRGGGHH, that's for me to decide, and - even though I don't need to justify it - I am eating it because I can, now leave me the xxxx alone to enjoy my chips in peace.

I’m a bit confused on this point aswell; I keep my Fitbit One with me 24/7 so whilst I use mapmyrun, Endemondo or Nike+ for power walking, I don’t link them up to anything (IE I use them as standalone apps) because surely I would be double counting if I recorded a walk in the app aswell as letting my One do it’s thing.

As I type this I am wearing a shirt I haven't been able to previously fit into for about 3 years. I have other clothes that I don't yet fit into, one of them a t-shirt that's about 12 odd years since I last wore it - but I am very close to looking 12 years out of fashion and I can't wait!

Mayonnaise. 2 big rounded tablespoons are roughly 5 calories in total, right..?

I love my One and would never go anywher without it. I have definitely walked more since I've had it and I would recommend it to anyone. The new models look pretty good but I personally prefer not to wear a wrist tracker for steps, purely because I don't think they are as accurate as one I wear on my waistband each day.
-
I saw the M400 but it's a tad out of my price range to be honest, and I have already got activity tracking with my Fitbit so I don't want to spend unnecessary money on something that I've already got covered elsewhere.

I will certainly be following one of the many structured programmes that are available and yes, I am currently (brisk / power) walking over distances of a couple of miles and I am now starting to incorporate jogging into the mix, so I am hoping the training, whwen I start it properly won't be a major hit to me (I'll start…

Not my first ever time, but my first notable experience... I had the customary few drinks after work on Christmas Eve with my then workmates when I was 16. I threw up over my boss' arm, I then decided to do some Christmas shopping and got thrown out of WHSmiths for being sick over some books, I then got the train home and…

Yes, it also overrides the actual step count, which I find very odd. I am really hoping this is a bug and gets corrected.
-
Thanks for the explanation - the clearest I've read - but I don't see why, when synced, the actual steps can't override the GPS-estimated steps (without affecting the calorie ount or active minutes). The main pedometer steps are bound to be the most accurate, so why does the MobileRun figure take priority? I spent a while…

So far not good, it overrides my One’s step count and it is out by quite some way. A Facebook group I am in has confirmed it’s a bug so I am waiting for the Android phone updates before giving a proper opinion.

I wear my fitbit 24/7 and that counts the steps & gives a calorie adjustment. The only drawback is that it obviously counts "normal" walking that could be, say, from bed to bathroom, etc, but overall I do 4-5 miles per day so I just erly on it to give me the overall count/calories. I try to eat as little calores back…
