Thank you everyone for all the advice. It's such an overwhelming thought to think of all he weight I have to lose in total, but I agree, small goals seem more obtainable. I guess I just need to sit down and figure out my goals and even make rewards for myself along the way. I was able to breastfeed my daughter for 16…

I used to be a server at Red Robin too.....it was so, so tough to eat healthy while the delicious fries are being waved in your face all the time!!!

Tha ks for the replies ladies! Hopefully we can all keep each other motivated!

I do a class that is a mix of cardio and weight training. I talked with one of the personal trainers and she said to log it as general circut training.
-
So my HRM is off, too? When I do my class I know my heart rate is up. I have the Garmin FR70 and I know that it's made for running but there is a "General" setting too. I've been using that. I know my heart rate is up and I know I'm working hard. So is the calorie count that it's giving me wrong?

Thanks everyone. I am trying to do a bit of step based work outs, as well as weights. I have been taking a strength and burn class (cardio and weights), and a step class (also with weights) and then I do one circut type workout a week. I have been wearing my HRM because I am trying to figure out a way to accurately track…

This is my first day back at it! I used MFP a few years ago and had a little success, and then I got pregnant with my first baby and haven't gotten back to it. Now, she's a year old and I need to get this weight off before we can try for another baby!

Me! I'm in! Starting Weight: 246.2 10 Week Goal - 1 size dropped (currently an 18, sometimes 20), and down 15-20lbs!
-
What I would do if you were more concerned at logging it, is just log it as a 6" turkey with all veggies, and then another 6" Veggie, that way it will count for all the bread and veggies and only the 4 pieces of turkey.

I'm going to do it! I started running in Feb 2012, and although I'm nowhere near ready, I am excited to keep training to meet my goal of finishing!!
-
I also vote for PB2 - it's amazing! You can make it into peanut butter just by adding water to the powder, but it's good for so many other things! I put it in my oatmeal, along with some chocolate chips, I've put it in smoothies, in cookies. It's amazing stuff!

So I started the Couch to 5K program today for the second time....I forgot how tired I was after the first day! :) I'm glad I was able to finish, though! Does anyone know what the best way to log c25k is? I just put it in as 8 minutes of running, and 22 minutes of walking. Is there a better way? I didn't wear my HRM, but…

Thank you everyone for the advice! I think I'm going to restart the c25k plan this week. I can't wait to get started, even though I know it's going to be extremely tough. I wish I had stuck with my original starting week of the c25k, I'd already be 5 weeks in! I'm hoping that having a 5K in May, and another race in August,…

What is a foam roller?

absolutely! I need all the support I can get!

Nice job! I too am just staring C25K. I just finished Week 1 day 3 today. Let me tell ya, I'm still super tired but the feeling of finishing is awesome! Don't be afraid to do 4 or 5 days of week 1 if you need to. There is nothing wrong with waiting until your ready to go to the next step! I am planning on doing at least 1…

I am newly married, and my husband and I are in the same boat. We would like to try getting pregnant with our first in September, and my goal is to lose 60lbs by then. I am at 254 right now. I too worry about losing all the weight, and then getting pregnant and gaining it all back. I'm hoping that by making sure to…

Thank you all for your answers. I just need to stop the excuses, because honestly, that's all it is. I need to stop coming up with reasons why it's not working, and everytime i have those thoughts, i need to eat something healthy, or work out and get those thoughts out of my head.

I agree, Kale Chips, or you can juice them! It is delicious to add to any fruit juice, and it's super good for you!
-
Another thing I just learned......2 handfuls of cashews is equivalent to 1 normal dose of prozac.....
-
Me too! My husband has psoriasis and we've read numerous places that say a juice fast will help his skin, plus the amount of nutrients in fresh juice is incredible! Just a random side note, this documentary said that even lightly steaming vegetables will cause the vegetable to lose a lot of it's nutrients. How crazy!

Thanks guys! My ticker was at 9, I haven't taken a real weigh-in since about 2 weeks ago....I'm sure I've gained since then. I am starting fresh in the morning so I'll update my weight then. I really would like to lose 20-30lbs by my wedding in September. I know that's a high goal, but we'll see :) I'm excited!

We always do steamed broccoli with sloppy joes. or sometimes, if we don't want a veggie, i'll do some steamed redskin potatoes.
-
I woke up at 4am to watch it! So exciting!!!
-
Awesome! That is for sure a good thing! That means you are losing weight, and your body doesn't need as many calories. When you lose weight, the site wants you to lessen your calories in order to keep your 2lbs a week going!

DH is dear husband :) I would love to get a piggy back ride from my hubby to be. The thing I want the most (and maybe tmi....) is to be able to go to Victoria's Secret, or any store that sells lingerie, and a) find something that fits me and b) not feel like everyone is thinking "gross....she should NOT wear that" when i…

also, feel free to add me, I will encourage as much as I can, and would love the encouragement!

100lbs seems like so much, and it's going to be a hard process....we didn't put the weight on overnight, so it'll take a while. But we can do it ladies!
